It's these kind of things that make museums and cities stand out from the rest. In design it's sheer beauty and it being 10x smaller than the pyramid of Cheops makes it very informational too. Further more you will find many tourists making pictures of it as a long lasting memory of their stay in Paris. It's a very good start of a journey through the Louvre.

One of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen. You need to visit the Louvre Pyramid both in daylight and night.. The view is unique at night and almost there is no time to find the pyramid area without visitors specially those who are trying to hold the peak of the pyramid between their fingers for a photo! The louvre building and its surrounding is really amazing at night. Visit louvre!

A must-see on every visit. The DS-inspired GPS system takes some getting used to, and you must plan to "start leaving" 30 minutes in advance because the exits are poorly marked and it's just hard to get out! But everything else is well done. Coat lockers are free and efficient. Well staffed info desk. Audio guide, once you figure out how to use it, is well worth the expense.

If you're in Paris, this is a MUST visit location, it's a great place to take the family. The Louvre Pyramind brings a modern touch to the historical monuments surrounding it.

Although the Louvre museum is one of the best in the world, the pyramid itself is more controversial. It's modern art placed in the middle of a mostly baroque environment. I have gotten used to it, but wonder if there might not have been a better choice. For those using the pyramid as a point of entry to the museum, there is an alternate entry through the mall that often has shorter lines.
