Great view of Paris from high up. Nothing extraordinary but why miss the chance if you visit Paris (having spent air ticket etc), at least you can say you have done that. Place is well connected to metro station so easy to get to by train. Have a look at my posted pics for what you can expect to see.
A spectacular view of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in it. It's great that it has a covered area as well as the top floor that is open. It makes it a perfect attraction for all weathers. 360° panoramic views with trampolines on top (Nov, 17) and binoculars you can pay to use. If you've visited Paris before and already gone up the Eiffel Tower and don't want to go again, I'd recommend Montparnasse Tower.
Great views from here. After a busy day walking the streets it was nice to sit down with a coffee and custard tart to replenish the energy levels. We managed to enjoy the views before the rain came in - which also made for interesting watching. It was also nice to get away from the crowds at other locations.
Absolutely great. Tallest point in Paris and barely any queue as well as reasonable prices. Your ears might pop on the way to the top, but it's worth it. Great view on the top floor and the terrace, where you can play curling and there's also free ice skating!
Awesome spot. Fantastic views of Paris, better than the Eiffel Tower as you can actually see the tower itself. The food options are great and also not too expensive. The open rooftop area is great and when they have trampolines open, going on them on top of the building is a fantastic once in a lifetime opportunity that is not to be missed. We stayed up here for around 3 hours so that we could see Paris at day and at night and it could of been longer. A must visit for all tourists.
Wonderful stop by suggestion of our hotel owner. We tried it before the Eiffel Tower. No lines, no crowds, amazing view even on a cloudy day. Lots of information screens on the enclosed 56th floor, but absolutely worth the effort to walk the 3 floors to the open observation deck. Often they have rollerskating or other fun activities on the deck, as well as a champagne bar, but it had been snowing the day we visited, so the deck was largely empty. Kids under 12 are free - bonus! Definitely worth it!
Easily the best views you can get of Paris. I can't describe the feelings you get when you see the sights. You queue up (we went about 4:45pm and it was pretty quiet but then got extremely busy whilst we were waiting). We opted to buy tickets whilst we were in line on the phone and we got in quick. You then wait in a lineinside (just for the lift up to the top floor) and it takes around 30 seconds to reach the top. Your ears will actually begin to feel like you are on a plane it's that tall! Once at the top, you reach a lobby and you can climb two more flights to what is easily the best views you will ever get of paris. YOU WILL NEED TO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF TO TRULY UNDERSTAND. Once at the top you can see everything and it's beautiful. Great places for photos, great tourist information points and even a small bar. Easily better than the view from the Eiffel Tower and it's cheaper....much cheaper.
Offers an alternative to the climb up to Eiffel tower. One of the only few places to get an unobstructed view of Eiffel tower. Relishing rose wine and looking at lit Eiffel tower and rest of Paris' attractions can elevate your mood.
We loved it here, fantastic panoramas and so much quieter than the Eiffel Tower so it was a lot easier with the kids which meant we stayed for longer while we identified all the famous buildings and landmarks in Paris. I would definitely recommend it. It hasn't got the fame factor if the Eiffel Tower, but the views are just as good and the lack of crowds makes it a more chilled experience.
360 view of Paris was fantastic. There’s the indoor sky deck and then you can go to the roof and it has 360 degrees view of Paris. There’s small cafe and shop. I went about an hour before sunset and it was beautiful to see Paris lighting up as it got dark. I was able to see Eiffel Tower sparkle on the hour. Well worth it, obviously go on a clear day.
Little bit of luxury if you want it. The restaurant is located on the 52nd floor of the Montparnasse Tower and has fantastic views. The restaurant is only a 180 degree view and the observation tower is 360 degrees. You need to go at night time to see Paris light up like a Christmas tree and watch the Eiffel Tower glitter as it puts it magical light show on. The skyscraper is dead opposite the Eiffel Tower so you can see it easily. In my opinion it's better to go to this restaurant than it is to go to the Eiffel Tower restaurant. At least you can see it. You can go to the champagne bar and sit in a window, watching Paris go by and this is free of charge, or, you can go for food. We opted for drinks only as we had been sight-seeing all day. Not many people know about this so it's definitely worth going whilst it's still quite unknown.
Accessibility: ⭐️⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️ Experience: ⭐️⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️ Location: ⭐️⭐⭐️⭐⭐️ Touristic importance: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of the places you must do if you are a fan of photography. Going there an hour or 2 before sunset taking pictures of Paris during the day light and then waiting for the sunset taking pictures and appreciating the beauty of Paris with different exposures of light. If you have time you can wait until after sunset and I assure you that you will be able to précaire another amazing view of Paris. Place is often packed so put in consideration 30/40 minutes until you get to the top.
An alternative option to view the city as well as the Eiffel Tower at a lower cost. 59 story new age tower in Montparnasse District, cost was 25 Euro w Paris Pass discount. Beverages such as beer & wine were much cheaper than expected, very fair. We were up for the evening lights of the city. Very pretty with so many landmarks and sights to view from a great vantage point. Highly recommend if in Paris!
A very good place to visit. Amazing view above Paris. Very easy to get there. In Paris we could easily use public transport so from the Eiffel tower we took the local bus to get there. It was only 15 minutes and the bus ticket was 2 €/person.
Tour Montparnasse is somewhat of an hidden gem as it features one of the best views in town and is significantly less crowded than most of the 'major' spots in Paris. While the cost is 17 euros (they have discounts for kids, students and seniors and also feature a slightly expensive all day ticket) I think its worth every cent. The 360 degree view is awesome and seeing the sunset from there it's simply magical. You can't miss this one.
A 59 story skyscraper with an 360 degree observation deck on top. I went in the daytime with my girlfriend at around 13:30, on a Friday. The queue was short and buying tickets was easy (adult tickets, 18 euros). After going through security, the lift took only 38 seconds. Not that you would know stood inside it. At the top of the lift, there is an inside viewing area which houses a gift shop and a cafe with a panoramic view. I can imagine the city looking good from inside if the weather wasn’t too good. We then climbed a few sets of stairs to get to the observation deck, I’m not sure whether there was a lift for disabled access or not. The view on the top was breathtaking and you could see all the main attractions. There were telescopes and helpful notices showing the names and locations of each landmark. I bet the view at night would have been incredible as well, so we’ll definitely be going up again (With a glass of something sparkly, which they also sell on the observation deck). This is definitely one to add to the list!
I took a group of students to Paris this summer and the first evening we were in town we went up the tower. there was no real line going in and after we cleared basic security we hopped on an elevator that sent us up to the lounge. There is a bar where you can get some food and beverages as well as a gift shop. It's climate controlled so you are comfortable. Once you hit the lounge at the top find the stairs and go up about two more flights of stairs to the 360-degree views on the very top of the tower. Expect there to be a little breeze as you're on the top of very tall building but it felt wonderful in the July Heat. My students absolutely loved the view and I was able to point out various things that we had seen that day and would also be seeing the next day. They do have safety glass surrounding the top of the tower but there are different slots that you can put your camera through so that you're not taking a picture through the safety glass. Absolutely wonderful.
If you love Paris picturesque this is a must!! 360 view of Paris, check weather forecast before plan to visit. Sunset is so nice here and quite crowded. Open till 23:30. It’s an commercial building build since 1973 and turn the rooftop into a tourist attraction so the stairway may look old fashion like fire escape way but can accommodate you to the top floor well.
My last visit was 20 years ago. It's still the highlight of Paris. Love the open rooftop. I went on a sunny Monday 11am. Waiting time was around 8 minutes (through a group of senior tourists and a few individuals). Friendly staff. All areas and bathrooms are well maintained and clean.
A rather pricey view of Paris skyline. Would expect a more conducive environment considering the fee being charged. Free use of a few telescopes at salient points would be a very good addition. However, watching the sun come down on the city and the lights come aglow on the Eiffel is a memorable experience.
Loves this just as much as I loved the Eiffel tower itself. It's a very simple entry security bag scan and lift to the top room. You can get food and souvenirs and walk round the building for a 360 view. But the best part comes when you go up the stairs (no lift available) to the roof top which is protected by glass round the edge. It's a truly stunning view with the Eiffel tower in the skyline it truly stands tall and beautiful
Visit before 2019's renovation!
This building has one of most amazing views of Paris. I think that most people don't know that this line Mark has his amazing views and I would highly recommend it as you will enjoy your time on top of the building in the two viewing areas. On the other hand in the dining area or the restaurant, is small in size with affordable prices. I did not taste the food but it seemed like it was good.
We had no idea about this tower, but it was part of our Paris Pass package so we went. It was really great! Well organized and secure. There are 2 top levels to the tower. The top floor with great views, a cafe, and a gift shop completely indoors. Then there is the terrace with panoramic views. It is surrounded by what seems to be glass walls and a roof. You are literally standing on top of the building with a gorgeous panoramic view of Paris.
