Awesome place to feel the 3rd world in the past. Africa, Oceania ware the main I think. A little Asian things are there. Masks and weapons were really interesting. I recommend you to see some videos. It may show you well how the tribes live. If you have a child, I strictly recommend you to visit. Kids there fell in love with the museum.

Very nice collection covering primitive arts all around the world. I only wished the Pacific Ocean side had a larger collection since it feels pretty small compared to the African art. If you're only browsing, you can easily spend 3-4 hours to see everything, and a lot more time if you want to go into the details. I had limited time and I should have skipped the temporary exposition to give more time to the permanent one which is really great.

Absolutely stunning pieces well presented and offset with nice decor. An atmospheric museum partly thanks to the warm but moody colour scheme and dark lighting. I thoroughly enjoyed the pre Inca Peruvian civilization exhibition, which came with an audio headset guide that I would also recommend. A shout out to the staff too who were friendly, attentive and informative. Here are some pics I took of my favourite bits

A top favourite, never disappointing. A journey through time and space...A vibrant homage to different ethnies, linking all human beings. Inspired and inspiring.

I really liked this museum. There's so much stuff to decent and it's layout is good. Stumbled on it whilst looking for something else and spent a good 4 hours in there. Had a reduced ticket due my age, showed ID when I bought the ticket and then had to show it again for the exhibition entrance and then again at the entrance to the main collection. I will note that some things are only in French.

Don't do as we did and turn up with just an hour before your Eiffel time. The place needs a good 2 hours. Set in some great gardens (worth 10-15 mind on their own) there is a huge glass wall along the road towards the river. This is another of Paris's no expense spared museums. Be ready for a lot of walking, even the entrance is a long spiral slope.

Great museum! Probably my favourite one we saw in Paris. Completely unique and well curated, interesting and did I say unique? Surprisingly it was also relatively empty which was a welcome change to some of the other museums. Highly recommend!

Ok museum. Not overwhelmingly interesting, but it has got a really nice exhibit display. Nevertheless, I would say that the price for the entry (10€) is not worthy. For that one should better go to the Americas and see the real things.

Interesting Museums and location to visit in Paris close to the Eiffel Tower and in a busy location. No car parking. Staff was helpful and professional. Environment was cleaned and relaxing atmosphere. My family love it.

They managed to fit ancient deputies into a modern environment to create a stunning place to spend time. Beware, as it is really huge, you will need at least half a day to discover it all. One of the must-see locations in Paris.
