Such a good museum I'm anxious to write a good review because the charm of this museum lies partly in the fact that it is a true hidden gem in Paris. Superb mansion of art collectors and a window into another time. Great audio guide which informs you and transports you into the world of the jaquemarts. Must visit!

A lovely (although slightly pricey) lunch in a wonderful setting, followed by a fascinating walk around the museum. I have little interest in these sorts of places, but the audio narration took me on an excellent journey through the lives of the 18th century Parisian socialites.

My favourite museum in Paris, vying neck-and-neck with Delacroix’s house... This was one of the first palais built in this quarter after the Hausmannian urban remake. Beautiful. And so is the collection... And so, for that matter, is the restaurant/tea room. Take your refreshment under Tiepolo frescos, or on the terrace. A place to spend some time!

One of the smaller museums in Paris, with a beautiful collection as well as special exhibitions. There is a cafe for lunch which was excellent.

Great place to visit and see art as well as imagine life in turn of the century Paris. Open late on Mondays!

A lovely way to spend an afternoon, even if you aren't usually interested in antique houses. I usually hate audioguides, but the free audio guide here is excellent and makes the experience massively better. The restaurant is nice too, but not cheap!

Always visit when in Paris. Love the building, the museum and the storyline. Amazing to think its still more or less as it was planned. Restaurant is super and dining on the terrace is a real treat in summer. It's where the French eat! Simple but beatifully served. A little elegance in a busy world.

Good museum. Not crowded. Check for special expositions. Also do not forget to stop at coffee shop!!!

If you like New York City's Frick Museum, you will like this art and furniture private collection displayed in a wealthy couple's manse. The art is not quite of the quality of the Frick (few great masters). But it was a lovely 1-2 hours. And rooms for traveling exhibitions. We saw Mary Cassat - beautifully done. They offer a busy but elegant cafe as well. Combine this with a walk and pinic in nearby Parc Manceau.

Amazing permanent collection - and a great temporary schedule. I saw a Mary Cassatt exhibition which was amazing, soon to come - Caravaggio!
