Parc Monceau (French pronunciation: [paʁk mɔ̃so]) is a public park situated in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, France, at the junction of Boulevard de Courcelles, Rue de Prony and Rue Georges Berger. At the main entrance is a rotunda. The park covers an area of 8.2 hectares (20.3 acres).
The park was established by Phillippe d'Orléans, Duke of Chartres, a cousin of King Louis XVI, fabulously wealthy, and active in court politics and society. In 1769 he had begun purchasing the land where the park is located. In 1778, he decided to create a public park, and employed the writer and painter Louis Carrogis Carmontelle to design the gardens.
Such a wonderful park. A great place to relax and enjoy the weather. Good for healthy walk and jog. It’s just out of this world. Love it.

Park Monceau (the “Parc de Monceau”) keeps its magical mystery throughout the seasons, in every weather or time of the day. Closed from 8pm to 7am in winter. Safe.

It's a very nice, welcoming parc, but be aware that you can not let your dog run free here, which is a shame. They are also not allowed on any of the grass.

The park is enormous with a carousel and a swing for the children to have fun whenever they'll visit this park. Also a mini park for the infants to enjoy and a very wide field to sit and lay down to whenever they feel like doing it. And of course benches everywhere to sit on. Best for jogging and I almost forgot about the rink for the scooters, roller skates and roller blades.

So far my favourite park in Paris. It’s huge and have playgrounds for the kids, lot of grass areas where you can relax and benches basically every few metres. You can also find a carousel, cafe and pony riding, so really, there’s everything here.

Great place to run in the North of Paris. Also some parts of the park can be calm and peaceful to spend a few hours. The full circuit inside the park measures almost exactly 1km so easy to track while running. The park is quite crowded almost everyday, and even more so during summer and especially on weekends. A lot of young children come here to play as well.

Very friendly neighborhood park. Serves for runners and kids. You can sunbathe here in summer and have a picnic. There is plenty of little museums around the park. Good idea for relaxation after full day of sightseeing

Strange place. Small park with a very English feel, almost as if it should have been in London and got lost. Ice cream and coffee available. Metro station practically at the gate.

Beautiful big park, loads of different people, from families to young teenagers hanging out. Great for picnics, sun bathing, birthdays, some lovely old statues for some history and also has public toilets available

I work just around the corner of this beautiful park so I've been a frequent visitor on my breaks to either wander in the wondrous snow, lie amongst the spring flowers or get some summer sun while I eat my brunch. I'm yet to experience the autumnal glory of Monceau but I look forward to it. Whether you want to go for a run, have a picnic, set up a sackline or do some yoga this historical park has got you covered.

Cool park to picnic or simply go read for a while. It is peaceful and changes you from the busy life of Paris. You can come here to do sport as well. Definitely recommend it.

Stunning and well maintained. From a professional perspective the park is clearly loved and cared for! It has a hugely diverse landscape, with consideration to its size. The site accommodates tourists and locals and whilst it doesn't appear to have cafes within it there are plenty of spots nearby for a coffee.

I absolutely love this park. First of all it's beautiful, the location is great, there's an antique carousel which kids love and an ice cream / Belgium waffle place right next to it (btw their waffles are expensive but very good). The open field invites for a picnic, or to read your book on a bench under one of the ancient trees. Dreamful, this wonderful park smack in the middle of Paris is definitely worth your time.
