Jardins du Trocadéro (Gardens of the Trocadero) is an open space in Paris, located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, bounded to the northwest by the wings of the Palais de Chaillot and to the southeast by the Seine and the Pont d'Iéna, with the Eiffel Tower on the opposite bank of the Seine.
The main feature, called the Fountain of Warsaw, is a long basin, or water mirror, with twelve fountain creating columns of water 12 metres high; twenty four smaller fountains four metres high; and ten arches of water. At one end, facing the Seine, are twenty powerful water cannons, able to project a jet of water fifty metres. Above the long basin are two smaller basins, linked with the lower basin by cascades flanked by 32 sprays of water four meters high. These fountains are the only exposition fountains which still exist today, and still function as they once did. In 2011, the fountain's waterworks were completely renovated and a modern pumping system was installed.
Honestly I found the view of the Eiffel from here to be better than the view standing right in front of the thing on the other side. This vantage point from a height perspective and even the angle (dead on) gives you more perspective than standing on the same level. I would HIGHLY recommend seeing it from this position first. I saw it from up close and personal first and while still impressive I was more impressed from here.

The sites around Paris are quite incredible. These gardens are beautiful and I couldn't resist the temptation to take this picture😁. It was nice to sit down and enjoy a traditional crepe from one of the vendors. Apparently they are enjoyed by many as I had to fight off the pigeons who wanted to steal my crepe.

This is a great little park with the Eiffel Tower as a backdrop. A few guys drinking by the side but they kept to themselves. Good for kids to have a break from mum and dad tourism.

Very nice building and view of the Eiffel Tower. Excellent photo opportunity at the top of the stairs. Famous location where you can take the photo pretending to be holding the Eiffel tower with your fingers from its top. Expect the area to be filled with tourists all year long. Lots of souvenirs and essentials salesmen. Major bargaining is possible with these salesmen.

This is a fantastic place for a nice view of the Eiffel Tower especially at the square (Place de Trocadéro). If you go very early around sunrise, the place was not so crowded. Many people do fashion photo ops and video fashion books here even through the cold of winter. Shortly within an hour of sunrise the square becomes very crowded so plan your timing. There are food vendors with reasonable prices at the square.

This place have completely different energy, so ecstatic. Enjoyed every bit of my time their although it was very cold at that time but still it was amazing. I would recommend visit at night rather than during the day. Crepe carts their with hot coffee was super hit.

Though this place is mostly a passing point to the famous landmark next door, it has a charm of its own. Sit here for a while to catch your breath, eat some ice cream (or some brilliant Paris coffee) from the nearby stalls and watch the boats glide lazily on the Seine river. Very relaxing.

One of the most visited place in Paris. Nice view and atmosphere. Stay alert on people coming up to u for signing a petition or something. Their intention is not so good. Also see who is watching you, stay alert on your belongings.

+ Very nice park and Eiffel tower looks mesmerizing at night from the park. + Paid parking exists close by, easily reachable through public transport. - A bit noisy as it is very close to busy streets. - High probability that you will see rats :/ be careful

Worth a trip to get a great view of the Tower. I think that the best views are the ones you get from Trocadero. Take the metro there, walk up and prepare for the view of your life. Busy, but early mornings are usually very calm if you're looking to get a good clean picture of the tower. Indeed, it is the best site to photograph the tower, which is situated on the other side of the River Seine. Visit during sunset for some breathtakingly beautiful photos. The Eiffel Tower looks fantastic when lit by the setting sun. The night view of the tower is no less impressive. You will be mesmerized by the thousands of flickering lights. The magnificent fountain in the Trocadero Gardens wonderfully complements the beauty of the Eiffel Tower.

I just lost word to say because here the view of Effel was really nice and beautiful. The weather was also perfect to see it. I saw it with some beer and wine. It was also nice. I'm so jealous of people living in Paris because they can see that nice her everyday :) I'm never gonna forget this impression.

A good spot for a different viewing angle of Eiffel Tower. However, the place is often very crowded with tourists (ofcourse). You undoubtedly do get some very good views and pictures from this spot. So this is also frequented a lot by photographers. Good for spending some time and taking good shots, and enjoying Eiffel Tower and Paris.

Amazing view of the Eiffel Tower here! This was the metro stop that I consistently used to get to the tower. The crepe sips her are buzzing but beware of the ones that pre-make their crepes! You want the fresh made in front of you crepes.

The perfect place to sit with family or friends and admire the engineering marvel that is the Eiffel Tower. The skaters on the sloping road added their elan to the surroundings. We actually saw a gentleman proposing to a lady watched by a bunch of friends. That's how romantic the spot can get. Of course, the authorities can get rid of the peddlers of beer and wine who keep bugging you.
Sreeram SivaramakrishnanJun 23, 2018
This is a wonderful place to view the Effel Tower, especially at night. Bring a blanket, a bottle of wine, and two glasses and then just sit back and relax while watching the sunset (if you forgot the wine don't worry, there are plenty of people there that will sell you some). There's also a carousel with tea cups which was surprising a lot of fun (and only cost 2.5 euros per person).

You will take a very good capture of the beautiful scene of tower with blue sky backdrop in the day tme and at night sparkling lights and glowing view of the tower at the night is truly amazing ❤️😍

Excellent view of the Eiffel Tower, this is a very picturesque spot. They also have a great water fountain with grass seating area around that is a great place to relax after lots of walking around Paris. Bus stops nearby make it very convenient to travel around using public transportation, instead of the very pricey taxis and Ubers at peak times.

Beautiful gardens in a breathtaking views and setting in front of the wonderful tower. Impressive sculptures and surrounded by cafes, restaurants, museums and botanical beauty, this is an obvious must see for anyone visiting the city of lights. Especially beautiful at the blue hour.

Great place to sit and have a picnic with wine and snacks while under a tree. You have a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower without having to fight tourists and pay any fees. There are little food stands on either side of the main fountains that sell great sandwiches and drinks. There is no washroom for at least a 10 min walk so be aware!

To avoid a lot of people, it is best to come early mornings, around 6-7 am. Even if you have come during the day, there is still a chance to enjoy Eiffel tower view and make the best pictures. Go to the left and then down the stairs. There on the stairs you can make beautiful pictures with Eiffel tower and without other tourists. In the shade of the small park on the left side, one can have picnics with amazing view

Great spot for the iconic Eiffel tower, but it was unfortunate to have the remaining metal fencing scattered around the spot after the world Cup night. Suggest not to go after any big occasion in Paris. Though it feels safe here with police, and able to snap some good photos with the tower even they are always a large crowd here. Try to go higher to avoid people bumping into your photo.

Lovely in the Sun. Really simple but well presented. Grassy parts to sit on and fantastic view over the Tower. However, the presence of the street sellers was just plain annoying by the 50th time I’d been offered water, a mini Eiffel Tower etc etc - I’d had enough and my refusal got more and more - direct. Food at the top is ok, usual prices. Good access to Metro and Eiffel Tower. Is quite exposed though, so be prepared in very hot weather.
