Pretty cool museum. Had a good time just knowing Franklin had been right here in this press. Bring the kids.
This museum gives a great history of Benjamin Franklin. There were some hands on exhibits that the kids really enjoyed. The entrance fee was relatively low ($24 for 2 kids and 4 adults).
A lovely dedication to a great man. Thank you National Park Service!
The museum is more geared towards kids and people who don’t know much about Ben Franklin. However, the demonstration printing press is awesome for all ages.
A small but interesting collection of memorabilia from Franklin's life. Expect to need about :90 to see it all.
Ab excellent Museum for children and adults alike. They have a lot of exhibits here including railway terminal, the planetarium and the space exhibit. But the brain and heart exhibits were most informative. I quite enjoyed walking around the halls. They also have special exhibits happening in between that are very interesting and are charged seperately (not included in admission ticket) Those are great to watch but always check the timings and go. There's a theatre here too that has special exhibits running as well. Those are fairly longer. If planned well you can actually spend a whole day here with kids.
Benjamin Franklin was probably the most amazing and fore thinking person I've ever heard about. He saw problems and issues and figured out responses and ways to fix things. This is on top of all of his Innovations. Hard to believe someone who retired at 42 and lived until 82 could make such a difference in our lives.
I loved learning more about Ben Franklin. The first post office is right there so we made sure to mail ours from it. They actually have to hand stamp them.
An excellent museum for adults and children alike. What an insipiring personality to know. Must see. Reasonable rates. Different type of presentation.
This was DESTROYED the minute they put everything behind glass, started charging people to get in and taking away everything that was cool about the Ben Franklkn Courtyard.. I want the phones back, the mirrors, the being able to actually touch some things in the museum. I miss the old look.. This place just sucks now and its a shame it used to be my favorit place to go when I went down Center City.
This is a must stop on the historic tour of Philadelphia. Benjamin Franklin is one of the greatest Americans and this exhibit demonstrates how amazing Franklin was. Great place for both children and adults.
Not as many artifacts as I was hoping for, but shows signs of improving. What is there is impressive and historically important.
