Situated in Pokhara city. Nice view of gorge of Seti River. The water color is white and it feels so cold. In one point from artificial water canal system, you can use bucket to take some water to drink it even. Worth a visit if have half an hour on hand.
This place is very peaceful and naturally attractive. You can find very intense natural beauty just by walking 50 meters from main city road. A very deep gorge and an artificial water canal system surrounded by natural grenery is an abbreviation for this place. If you want to see a very busy city and peaceful nature coexisting together, you should give this place a warm visit.
This is a very dangerous river as it has milky water-water containing calcium carbonate in it...so shouldnt be in contact with bare skin for more than an hour. Besides that, if you are in Pokhara you wont notice this river everywhere even though it flows right between the city anonymously. It means that in most of the places the river is in a deep and narrow george so cant be noticed easily. So to play with the Seti's water and view the deep canyon, this exact location is perfect. The george is almost 100 ft down and is very silently flowing in other seasons except the monsoon time. Not just Seti, few of its tributaries like Bijaypur river has also milky water In this location, you can also see a canal over the george that flows into the city for electricity production in a small scale and also for irrigation and other household purposes.
Great view of the deep gorge below.. worth a visit if you have time in your hand and not busy doing other things.. not much to do except to revel in the beauty of nature out here and get mesmerised by it
Not really a must visit place. Has a dam and you can see the river water up close that's it.
Deep gorge is a beautiful viewing. The same river Seti flows above the river via a tunnel bridge. Monastery and Gurkha museum closeby.
Seti Means White. And, Believe me the water out there is really white and damn cold. that place was very beautiful and the cold water flow makes the place very cold.
Located about half hour away from the tourist area of Pokhara by car. I travelled there on a mountain bike and it took about an hour as most of the journey is uphill. The gorge is quite large and you can cross the gorge using a narrow suspended steel bridge. It appears quite safe. There isn't much to see once you cross over the bridge. I hear these is a temple but you have to hike about an hour to get there.
A nice tourist place in pokhara where children can understand the meaning of Gorge where water cuts the rocks and flows in between. You can easily hear the roar of water all around at Seti River Gorge. Nothing much to do here but must visit.
Pokhara's geology is as striking which further endorses its untamed beauty and inspires awe in all. Imagine a town with the Grand Canyon running through the main street, that's Pokhara. Its fashionable shopping district is split in half by a bottomless fissure in the rock substratum, called the Seti Gorge
Very nice view of the deep gorge. Sound of water flowing ...soo peaceful.
It is a narrow valley with steep rocky walls located between mountains. The colour of the water at Seti river Gorge is milky it is probably due to the fact that water passes through the stones high in calcium content. I did not have the opportunity to test this scientifically. Since the water is milky there is a temple and Pujari. So along with a natural expedition you will also get to pray.
Not a very interesting place. Just a small gorge which you can see. It's in a park where you can sit and enjoy. It's on the main road but still not visible because the board is too small.
Situated just within the main Pokhara valley, this gorge is really gorgeous to see the deeply flowing Seti river. With the facilities of toilet, a simple park and benches, tourists can easily come to this place by private or public vehicles, though parking may be little problematic at the spot as it is just by the side of the city road.
