The 360 degree views of the city are amazing and the tower is in a very central location. Be prepared to take a bunch of stairs to the top and get a bit too close to strangers when there are people coming the opposite direction on the stairs as it’s fairly narrow. There’s not much space to move around on the top level so again, there’s some close contact with strangers. (Make sure you go all the way to the top for unrestricted views and not just the first open air platform). I visited during off peak season (and on a rainy day) and still felt it was busy so I’d recommend aiming for a less busy time of day (perhaps first thing in the morning). I’d say this place was worth the €5 entry as you see the tower, the chapel and the museum.

The views from the top are fantastic. Don't get fooled by the first open air area you get to, there are more steps up to the actual top where you get unrestricted views of the whole city! Make sure you take ear plugs if you time your visit to coincide with the bells chiming on the hour!

Beautiful church! I viewed it from the second floor since I entered through the museum. I love the organs! It was not very busy when I visited on a Wednesday afternoon.

One of the most emblematic monuments in Porto. This is a Christian church with Baroque style located in Porto city center. Behind the church you can find the "Torre dos Clérigos" (in the photos). This is a tower built some years after the church. You can visit the tower (about 6 floors) and enjoy a great/wide view from the city. It is worth to visit!

Climb the tower and you will get some fantastic views of the city. I even came back a second time to enjoy the night view.

The Baroque style Clerigos Church and its striking bell tower called Torre dos Clerigos is one of the most emblematic symbols of the city. Very popular tourist attraction, there is usually a long line, about an average 30 minutes wait. Better not be claustrophobic climbing its steep and narrow stairs. You'll see that the effort of climbing all those steps will have been worthwhile once you reach the top and look out from the tower's observation deck.

I had a bad experience yesterday 2018/5/10. Your old staff who checked the tower ticket touched and pushed my back two times (only for me, he never touched other western people) . I neverx100 understand your old staff's behavior. I just followed my front lines. Is it sexual harassment ? Or racial discrimination? I am not sure.. but I definitely sure that your old staff' behavior is so so not proper. He is not qualified at the cathedral. Please shame on you.

The member of the staff that we had was extremely rude and prompt to take our cash. Be careful they do not accept cash notes above 20€. The Soap dispenser in toilet is broken. Unfortunately the site is not accessible is you a disability. Besides that the view is nice.

La subida a la torre es lenta y penosa. Para subir pasas por una especie de museo con diferentes salas con cuadros y mobiliario de diferentes épocas. Si vas en verano, el rato de espera se te hará eterno por el calor. Una vez arriba, hay dos plantas en la torre con unas bonitas vistas de la ciudad. Si eres claustrofóbico, no subas porque está tan llena de gente que no te puedes mover ni subir ni bajar cuando quieras. Debes esperarte a que se despeje para poder moverte.

The church’s tower experience is awesome. The view from the top is one of the best views of Porto. Important tip, you can visit during the day or at night and I highly advise the evening visit that starts after 7pm. During the day the wait to climb the tower can be up to an hour, at night there is basically no wait and you can watch an amazing sunset over Porto!

A place that is definitely worth visiting. Skip the overhyped Lello's bookshop, but visit this place. Only disadvantage: because of the narrow steps it can seem crowded but they do their best to let in people only if there is enough place. Anyway, I don't recommend this place to people who suffer from claustrophobia. Alas, we enjoyed it very much.
