Well worth visiting. This is a very interesting little church on the edge of the old town with a beautifully decorated interior. I couldn't find out much about its history in my guide but it is still worth looking at and in a very nice setting.
This church is just on the edge of the old town square. Though small it is quite impressive. The interior decoration is impressive and the church in general is maintained quite well considering its age. From time to time live orchestral concerts are held here. Be sure to catch one if they are available!
Simply gorgeous! Rivals orthodox cathedrals in Ukraine and Russia. An absolute must see in Prague!
The church of Saint Nicolas is one of the most important and most beautiful in Prague. Despite some of the unfounded negative and inaccurate comments made of this church, yes, it is the most beautiful 17th century Baroque Jesuits churches in Prague and all of the Czech Republic. Also it is still a functioning Catholic Church and not just a museum or tourist attraction. Holy Mass is celebrated in this church every Sunday at 8.30 PM. Another thing is that yes there is an entrance fee as is in many parts of Europe due the high maintenance costs of constant restoration of the exquisite artwork by multiple art masters like Jan Lukas Kracker and a fresco inside the 70 m high dome by František Xaver Palko. Mozart also performed his spectacular masterpiece, Mass in C, on the church's organ in 1787. The around 70 koruna entrance fee is only equal to $3.30 U.S. or €2.74 Euros. How is this expensive to see such a wonderful architectural wonder.
Very impressive church. Elegant and dominate. Looks well.
Very beautiful place with pretty fit Saints - check the photo:) But without jokes, the place is amazing, a lot of sculptures, paintings, you can even get on the second floor and see everything from the top.
Church is very beautiful with golden decors and marble sculptures everywhere. except it's interior is under construction and renovation. It would've been a 5 star site. But regardless, you should not miss it.
I refuse to pay that much money to go see a church. It should be free to enter and, if they need the money, they should treat their visitors well and they will receive generous donations.
Great place, initially not sure about paying the entrance fee but it was worthed. 4 out of 5 since the main fresco is being repaired (not disclosed)... It is valuable to read the brochure for a deeper appreciation of a great Baroque display.
One of nice & beautiful church in the city with restaurants and bars around it. In the attractions patch and just don't miss it.
Really beautiful church with great architecture difinetly worth visiting
