Beautiful place. BUT don't be deceived. The folks treat you real nice...UNTIL you say "no" to buying something you've wasted 3 hours of your vacation listening to this sales pitch. Then they kick you to the curb and money for a cab..
The location is beautiful and the rooms (the ones we saw anyway) looked nice. Whatever you do, DON'T get sucked into a cheaper vacation in exchange for participating in a presentation. You agree to a 90 min presentation. What they don't tell you is that's 90 min of tour time, but add in the breakfast or lunch you have to take so the sales person can "get to know you" and then factor in that 90 minutes is NEVER 90 minutes. We were there for 5 hours!!! And had to get a manager to leave, short of creating a scene. No matter how many times we said we weren't interested, we were constantly presented with more and more options, none of which was really any better than the second offer (never take the first offer). If you're prepared to invest in a "timeshare" which they don't actually call a time share, but rather a point system approach, then by all means. But don't do it just for the cheaper vacation. It isn't worth it. We wasted our best beach day at this thing. And the icing on the cake? My husband's credit card was compromised after that tour. The hotel is the only place he used it. Go figure. And the sales person, when my husband got up to get a manager said, "You're going to regret this." Interesting.
Tough to beat this place for an inclusive resort on the Pacific. A little outside of town, which can be good or bad depending on how you want to spend your vacation. Staff are consistently helpful and friendly and polite. Food is varied and good (not the same buffet everywhere). Beach is great, pools are great and I have heard the spa is amazing.
The grounds, rooms and people are wonderful. The food at the steak house along with the view was spectacular. The menu and food at Blanca Blu. is bazaar. Because they wholesale so many rooms at at highly discounted rate, there are a LOT of screaming children in the pools, with extremely uninterested parents in disciplining their children, that ruin a vacation for others that are looking for some quiet and peaceful time. Also there was an inordinate amount of gay men there and that really keeps it from being any kind of a family vacation. As I said in my last post I guess Garza Blanca wants to be the resort for gay men and screaming children. I would not recommend it if you're looking for some quiet time at the ocean.
What a wonderful vacation. Beautiful rooms, amazing service, and an exquisite location. On the quiet and and away from town. The beach feels private and is in a nice cove which makes swimming and wading easy. The food was good but really it is the staff. Every single person was simply awesome. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and obviously loved their job. Will be back!
I've been all over Mexico and now Garza makes me not want to go again. We found 6 charges on our bill and have called 3 times to get them to send a bill and they won't. Watch your bill closely at check-out and keep it simple don't order anything or use their "resort credit" other than your all inclusive. The panoramic rooms are very nice but not enough to take a disney trolley everywhere, be by the ocean stay somewhere else or in the ocean rooms, and leave the resort, this is a great town to explore! not eat steak in empty restaurants.
By far the nicest resort I’ve ever been too. The rooms are all incredible. Very clean. Friendly staff. Great food.
It is the most beautiful place we have ever been, I think it is the best of the Villa Group. The staff is so nice and friendly. Jose.,our butler, Oscar, Salvador, and Letty our room attendant was so good to us. We have traveled extensively and by far the Villa group is the best. Thank you so very much. The Winston's.
So far was a great experience at the Garza Blanca until today. ( it was my second time here) Great service, and people really wanted to make sure that you are comfortable. But today I was on the beach with some new friends and I had been told by a beach server that he was going to charge me for food because I supposedly was sharing. ( I am on the all inclusive plan) I was so confused. I didn’t know what kind of plan my new friends had.( I guess it was not all inclusive) I didn’t have breakfast much because I went to gym, I was starving after. I order two guacamole and chips, one scallop and one shrimp. Later I had a couple of shrimp skewers. That was all for 2 people: my daughter and my self. He said it was too much. Ok, make sure if you on all inclusive plan absolutely don’t give anything to anyone to sample your food. Make sure that you are not sharing with anyone ANYTHING. He could politely have brought up to my attention rather than threatening to charge me. I am not watching who finished my guacamole and chips, I did offer them to sample squid but that was about it. The waiter was so rude. Unbelievable. ( I was always tipping $1, $2, $5 every time they serve) Not coming back. Feels like this trip they focus on tips only. I was really generous always but this left bitter taste. ( By the way the people was next to me couldn’t eat shellfish for cultural beliefs and everything I ordered was seafood and shellfish)
The service was excellent. The prices were highe but you can get a good discount. The hard message was awesome. We had a unforgettable message there. I definitely recommend them. All of the staff had a big smile with a good manner.
Good place to relax for some days. Incredible views and very comfortable rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My rate is 4stars because they can improve the food quality and service at their restaurants.
I stayed at the Garza Blanca Resort for a wedding. I attempted to book over the phone using the number on the website. I was rerouted several times and hung up on - twice. I ended up booking online. Closer to my stay, I attempted to book travel from the airport. I was rerouted and hung up on, again. I tried to email the customer service representative that emailed me after I booked my stay. Days went by without a reply. I ended up getting an Uber (way cheaper, FYI - all you have to do is walk over a pedestrian bridge). When I got to the hotel, I was told my reservation was for the next day, with zero remorse or help. I was already running late for a wedding rehearsal dinner. They knew I was with the wedding party. Nonetheless, I showed my reservation I made online (with the correct dates) and was able to get into my room. During my stay, I was called to the front desk to pay again because they had charged me in pesos, not dollars. Lastly, and the absolute worse thing that happened: I was disrespected, assaulted and threatened by a staff member who did not believe that I was a guest at the resort. He would not let me pick up my things and threatened to call the police on me. It was the most humiliating experience of my life. My friend's family saw the entire thing happen - completely embarrassing. To make matters worse - today, I get a call from the resort asking about my stay. She didn't care about my issues, even though she asked me how my stay was. She proceeded to try to sell me a package to Mosai, the sister hotel. I asked her to speak to a manger and she would not let me. She proceeded to ask me again if I wanted to buy a package and I said, I did not want to patronize a business that traumatized me. I wanted to speak to a manager and apprehend the employee. She in turn defended the employee by stating to me - maybe he had a bad day - to which I replied, it is not my job to ensure staff members at a hotel have a good day or bad day, it is literally his job to ensure I have a good day. She hung up on me mid-sentence. This hotel is trash. Do not go. Stay at the Hyatt.
