We ended up doing the zip line and monkey package. If you have a chance do them both. We went with friends who were afraid of heights and everyone loved the zip line. You always feel safe from standing in the canopy to gliding down the cable lines. The monkey experience is amazing. Monkeys all over and climb on you to grab the food. The staff is really friendly and knowledgeable. After the monkey exhibit we went through a typical house where they showed coffee and cocoa production and let you sample a little of everything. There were no pushy vendors on this excursion at all so that was nice.
The tour was amazing! There was about an hour drive from picking people up at different resorts, but on the way there we had a tour guide who called himself 'Dominican R Kelly" and he was amazing! He kept us very entertained the whole way. While at the Zip-Line place we had a good time! The scenery was beautiful and all of the helpers were nice and charming. I would definitely recommend this!
Awesome lunch. People were very friendly. Our tour guide was awesome. This was the best excursion we did our whole trip.
Runners Adventures was an amazing experience. Our driver and the tour guide, Dominican R.Kelly, were very friendly and informative of the trip. The guys at the zip lining adventure were also very kind and helpful to make sure you had a fun trip. I would definitely recommend checking it out!
We went to monkey island great place. The guide was very nice and polite guy.He was so pation about his job and his country he gave us so much intresting informtion about Punta Cana and his life there. They will show how people there live and make chocolate, cocnut oil, coffee . Runnera adventures sells coconut oil, cocoa and all diffrent stuff. Just to let you know all of these things are not made there, but they say people who live there make them, not true. They make all of tbese people who work for them to sell all of these things to all travellers.
The tour began with a 30-40 minute drive to the monkey land. The guide gave us a history of the Dominican Republic, their culture, and the education they have for their children. They did stop for a quick moment at a gas station, but we didn't to exit the vehicle. Once we arrived at monkey land, there was an opportunity to buy chips and ponchos (if it was raining). We then got into groups and followed the guide to the closed in area. They are very particular about ensuring the safety for the monkeys because if one gets sick the entire colony can die in just 35 days. So if you're coughing, sneezing, or I'll they will not let you in. We were given bowls of fruit and sunflower seeds to feed the monkeys, and they loved it! They were jumping from head to head, and eating right out of your hand. Lots of picture taking opportunities! You cannot pet the monkeys because they may bite, but because of how comfortable they were climbing on you, you didn't really need to pet them. After about an hour with the monkeys, we got back on the bus and went to see how chocolate and coffee is made. We were able to taste coffee beans, cocoa, brewed coffee, coconut and sugar, and even a homemade remedy of sorts called momoana? Basically it helps with everything if you're sick with the dozens of herbs it contains. Over all it was about 6 hours of fun and worth the money!
Absolutely loved it! Jose and Elvis were spectacular guides and they made the Punta Cana Explorer tour so much better!
By far my favorite adventure to go to. I was nervous for zip lining but once you get on the first one you don't want to stop. Tour guide taught you many things about cultural which was nice to put every Thing together we were seeing. If your in Punta cana do this trip you won't regret it!!
Very fun and friendly staff. They are very well trained and take their time to teach you!!!
We LOVED the experience! Went out to the safari adventure Visited Doña Maria’s house, had sugar cane, cocoa and tried roasted coffee. My kids 8 and 5 enjoyed every bit of it. Thanks to Antonio and Mr. Carlos! They went above and beyond. Dominican people are amazing ❤️ Our trip was on June 7th, 2018.
The guide, Maphtali, and driver, Rudolfo, were great! The entire tour was fun, informative, and comfortable. Both are very knowledgeable and caring and definetely made this experience worth while. The guides at the monkey land were great as well. I really enjoyed it.
My guy and I took this tour on 7/24/18 and it was a great experience. Our driver Rolando did great at getting us to each place timely. Our guide Ruddy was outstanding. He was comical, knowledgeable, and displayed true pride in his country. There were a few surprises included in the tour that's not mentioned in the description that makes this adventure more than worth the price paid (I won't tell now and ruin the surprise). I highly recommend this tour. Ask for Ruddy and Rolando when booking. You won't be disappointed!
Monkey tour. Where to start ? My friend booked through expedia. At our arrival, the lady at the desk wasn’t too friendly. She was rude. The guy responsible for the tour quickly to care of us and that’s when things got better. I was so nervous at first because this was my first time being so close to some monkeys. The tour guy I forgot his name, was super friendly and made us feel comfortable from the beginning. The tour is about 45 minutes long. You will be able to feed the monkeys, pet them a little bit and visit where they actually stay. The monkeys are going to be jumping everywhere: on your head, hands, EVERYWHERE. All your personal items and jewelry etc, you will have to leave in the lockers because the monkeys are fast to steal them. Was the tour worth it or no? Yes it was. My friend paid $150USD for both of us and I feel like it should have possibly be longer for the price we are paying because truly, the excursions feels like 20 minutes. But it is worth it and I would recommend it.
