Not for everyone, this is not a DOC maintained "tourist attraction". Little Thailand is a name given by the local climbing community in Queenstown to this beautiful cliff drop, rising straight from the lake and up to the Glenorchy - Queenstown road. A bit of a bush-bash taking you down to the cliff face from the road side (better ask a local where to stop, no signs or any other indication). This cliff hosts a few sport climbing routes (all in the guide books) and offer a few spots to jump into the lake from. The highest jumping point is at 11m, and the climb out is a few meters to the west. You can pick and choose from various heights between the exit point and the highest one, to accommodate your level of braveness/fear. A wetsuit is recommended for most times and is absolutely mandatory in winter.
Do the 50 feet jump it's safe and awesome :D
Fun place. Careful when you jump
Dope as but not suitable for a large group as there's not much room
The entrance is found by driving out of Queenstown towards the spot and stopping just before the metal barrier on the left. The entrance is about 3 metres along behind the barrier.
