Off the usual tourist trail but well worth a visit. This working farm gets better with each visit. There are cows, sheep, pigs (pigs that look like sheep), poultry to look at outside. Indoors, the small animal house offers a chance to view guinea pigs and small domestic creatures at close quarters. There is a lovely herb garden and garden for quiet contemplation. The cafe, sit on tractor and play park make it very child friendly. Occasionally, fresh produce is for sale. There is also a pet boarding service. You can hire meeting rooms. Donate!

Such a fun place for young kids and city teens who've never seen the country life! The entry was free, but you should definitely donate some money when you go there. There were lots of farm animals to see, obviously it smelled a bit but lovely nonetheless. It even has a cafe, which was closed when I went. Really nice experience!

One of the better places I`ve ever seen in Edinburgh, as Tourist and Student living in Edinburgh. Their aim is to provide children and people with the sense of rural community that characterises rural areas. A Sustainable Development vision and a Environmentally friendly approach is what is needed for children`s education to strengthen their relationship with nature. Love it.

Free to visit and always open to give a donation. Great way to spend an hour or so seeing the animals, they board small animals too, particularly liked the piglets and curly haired pigs, sheep, goats, hamsters, rabbits, ducks and hens.very friendly... Kids will definitely enjoy.
