Don't expect a museum but do expect a long walk. This is an excellent example of a rare site in the UK. The car park is free and there are informative signs along the way. Where else can you expect to see a Roman wall without a busy crowded town? Don't expect preserved buildings remember how old the site is! There are no staff on hand.

Nice walk but not too much to see. Enjoyed it though. X

Nice walk but not much to see in terms of the Roman town.

This an interesting place but it doesn't look interesting. There are some nice walks in the area.

Nice walk with interesting history, takes about an hour to do the full loop. Not buggy friendly.

A nice spot for an archaeology enthusiast to ramble around. The remaining ruins (especially the amphitheatre) are very well preserved. Take a picnic and a dog and you'll have a lovely afternoon out. Free parking when we went, which is always a plus.

It's a really cool walk around. If you are wondering how to get here, there's a small free carpark nearby. Just park there and you're a short walk along clearly marked paths. Dog owners, please clear up your pooches presents.

Was doing voluntary work,. Clearing wall of vegetation. Worthwhile place to visit, if interested in Roman history.

As an historical fiction writer, places like this are fantastic. You can literally walk on the walls built by the Romans. Well, built by their slaves anyway. Did you know, a Gaelic chieftain who fought the Romans in France fled there to resettle here. Also, British warriors went to Europe to help their cousins in Gaul fight the Romans. This place is full of ancient ghosts and their tales. Come visit 😁

Very very fascinating. UoR currently carrying out a dig. Amazing to see that the Roman walls are less than a meter below the surface
