The Three Brothers (Latvian: Trīs brāļi) is a building complex consisting of three houses, situated in Riga, Latvia. The houses together form the oldest complex of dwelling houses in Riga. Each house represents various periods of development of dwelling house construction.
The building at 17 Maza Pils Street is the oldest, dating from the late 15th century. The exterior of the building is characterised by crow-stepped gables, Gothic decorations and a few early Renaissance details. Originally the building consisted internally of one large room and an attic used for storage. The house was restored in 1955–57 by architect Pēteris Saulītis.
It is a good construction in the olden days. Inside of the house is very simple good. They have kept some pictures about the house. We can easy to understand about the history about the place. It is a free entry and I would recommend all people and tourist can visit this place.

I managed to get to the area but was going around in circles trying to figure out which buildings they were. Many of the buildings in the area look similar. I wasn't sure until I asked a local. Interesting enough I was standing right in front of them. A cool free part of history to see and it only takes a few seconds. A must see if you are in the old town Riga area.

Cool. Historical. But there is nothing to read about it in site so unless you have a tour guide, you won't learn anything.

One of the most popular points in the city, each house represents various periods of development of dwelling house construction. -The building in 17 Maza Pils Street is the oldest, dating from the late 15th century. The exterior of the building is characterised by crow-stepped gables, Gothic decorations and a few early Renaissance details. -The house in 19 Maza Pils Street, has an exterior dating from 1646, with a stone portal added in 1746. The style of the building shows influences from Dutch Mannerism. -The last house located in 21 Maza Pils Street, is a narrow Baroque building which gained its present look probably during the late 17th century. Nowadays the Three Brothers complex houses the State Inspection for Heritage Protection and the Latvian Museum of Architecture.

Looked like an interesting museum from what we viewed on our short visit but the heating was uncomfortably high, so we made the decision to leave after just ten minutes. Three Brothers Museum & Sauna might be a more appropriate name.

Just a lovely group of houses in a very historic part of Riga. Supposedly named after the rival 'Three Sisters' in Tallinn

It's alright. If you didn't know they were there, you'd likely miss it, but they have an interesting backstory.

Interesting curio. Hard to find much information about the 3 houses though.

If you're the kind of person that walks by a famous building and always imagine how the inside must be, you'll be happy to know that one of the "Three Brothers" is a little museum dedicated to Latvian architecture. It's pretty much just one room, but you'll get the chance to see how the buildings are connected on the inside and their pretty courtyard. Also, the exhibit I saw was pretty interesting and had a lot of info in English.

This may be interesting if you are in to historical building. You cannot kiss this when you walk around the old town. Its makes on most tourists maps as well. From the outside it's not the most impressive buildings you'll ever see but the history behind adds value to the place.
