One of the most beautiful cathedrals that I have ever seen. Definitely worth visiting.

Do NOT visit San Paolo fuori le mura. Cars are opened and robbed outside the basilica. Carabinieri and army at the doors DO NOTHING to avoid robberies.

Wow this is beautiful and very big. Oh my God short of words. It is like heaven. Am attending the feast of the conversion of. st. Paul.

A must visit when in Rome; located outside the Roman walls. You will enjoy the visit. Plus, you can visit Saint Paul's Tomb.

This is an absolute stunning creation of mankind. The interior is a grand work of art, and humongous. Free to enter. One of the best churches in italy. Although there are many

Perhaps my favourite of all of the people basilicas within the city of Rome. This place offers a truly Grant mix of statuary, mosaics, sacred artifacts, a and sublime beauty. As comparatively silly as it may seem the gift shop is also quite good as well. So take a trip off the beaten path, visit this place, and light a candle for somebody special in your life. You will be very glad that you did.

Away from the crowds and noise of Rome this basilica is worth the short metro ride and spend a few hours admiring its beauty. It has well maintained gardens and an enormous beautiful interior.

The area in which the basilica of Saint Paul outside the walls stands, was occupied by a vast subdial cemetery, that is to say in the open air, in constant use from the 1st century BC. at the 3rd century AD but sporadically reused, especially for the construction of mausoleums, until late antiquity. It was an extensive cemetery and included different types of tombs, from family pigeons to small funerary chapels often frescoed and decorated with stuccoes. Almost all of this sepulchral area is still buried, for the most part below the level of the nearby Tiber, and it is estimated to extend under the whole area of the basilica and the surrounding area.

It is easy to travel in Rome with google map. I don't need to worry about finding the way to travel around rome. Thank you very much

The most overlooked of the four papal basilicas. This basilica is farther from downtown Rome and receives the least amount of foot traffic. If you are looking for a church to quietly pray and reflect in Rome, St. Paul Outside the Walls should be your first option.

Right after St Peter's, it's the most incredible basilica i've visited. Absolutely gigantic, as awe-inspiring on the inside as it is on the outside. Beautiful statues on the garden outside, majestic space on the inside. A landscape mark and a monument full of story and meaning in honor of one of the central pillars of the catholic church, St. paul.

Excellent monument of medieval culture and architecture. Place of religious pilgrimage and veneration. Another must see place at Rome. If you pay three euros you will be able to visit small but excellent pinacoteca. Visitors are allowed to take non commercial photo without flash light.

Entry to St Paul's Outside the Wall is free. There is no long queues waiting to get in. The architecture is amazing with real gold painted ceilings and cornices. Like all tourist sites in Rome, the Basilica was watched over by the 'Carabinieri', armed military police to help guard against potential terrorist attacks.

I recommend going to see Paul’s “sarcophagus.” I walked there from the south side and walked through a super trashy part of Rome. I wish I would have bus hopped there.

A beautiful Bascilica of Saint Paul. The Bascilica is open daily from 9am - 5pm and is free of cost. It is easily accessible by Metro from the San Paulo station and even from Garbetella (a longer walk). The Original Bascilica was burnt in the past and the new one is build exactly on the same place. Alot of the original Marble is used to reconstructe the New Bascilica. It is one of the 4 Important Basilica's of Rome. There is a huge celebration out side the Bascilica on the Feast of Saint Peter and Paul. The Bascilica also contains the tomb of Saint Paul , a part of the tomb is visible behind the glass. The chains used to hold Paul are also on display. The Bascilica is beautiful and breath taking. There is also an old monastry beside it but the entry is charged.
