The Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Antica or National Gallery of Ancient Art is an art museum in Rome, Italy. It is the principal national collection of older paintings in Rome – mostly from before 1800; it does not hold any antiquities. It has two sites: the Palazzo Barberini and the Palazzo Corsini.
The Palazzo Barberini was designed for Pope Urban VIII, a member of the Barberini family, by the sixteenth-century architect Carlo Maderno on the old location of Villa Sforza. Its central salon ceiling was decorated by Pietro da Cortona with the visual panegyric of the Allegory of Divine Providence and Barberini Power.
A very beautiful building with an old architecture in the Baroque period, which everyone, in my opinion, has to go through once during his life to closely interact with this beautiful architecture. The Barberini building has two very beautiful galleries featuring paintings by elders of art. Seeing beautiful paintings closely, drawings that are drawn with a great deal of precision and elegance give everyone a sense of comfort and feeling. Do not miss it

Compared to some art galleries this is small but you still get a couple of Caravaggios and a Raphael so it's well worth a visit.

Great baroque palazzo, just to see interior is pleasure. I enjoyed the high ceiling (15 m perhaps) room decorated with fresco. The jewell of the collection is Raphaels Esterhazy Madonna protected with thick glass.
