The Pilke House is a combined office building and science centre in Rovaniemi, Finland. It was built in 2011 and is notable for its low carbon footprint and the use of sustainable wood products in its design.
Science Centre Pilke, opened in June 2011, has interactive exhibits, presentations and short tours, and is designed for people of all ages. The exhibition at the Science Centre focuses on the sustainable use of northern forests: the growth and management of forests and forest-based products and commodities.
This one is on the small side, and definitely aimed at children. There is a plethora of interactive exhibits to explore and try out. Unfortunately, as with many child-oriented tourist places, parents made this one unbearable to stay at, as many just let their young ones run wild, making it impossible to check out any exhibit without being run into or shoved aside. They do have a nice break room though with a hot drink machine that charges just 30 cents for a coffee!

A lot small exploratory exhibitions - mainly focussed on children and teens. But if you're into these type of museums also fun to play around as an adult
