My kids wanted a weekend in San Diego. We were happy with the BW. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We used the pool and gym and both were clean. The staff was very nice! Its a decent value for the money. The parking was free and excellent location to mission bay and the freeways.
Overall my family and I enjoyed our stay here. Here is a list of pros and cons from our experience.. Pros: Excellent staff, very friendly Top notch breakfast that stayed stocked full Comfy pillows and beds Good location, close to the freeway and bay Good shower head, great for tall people Pool towels available in the pool area Cons: This place needs remodeled The carpet made our feet black within 15 mins of walking on it barefoot, gross! Wallpaper is peeling off in the bathroom Visible mold in the bathroom Pool needs more chlorine and better maintained
Hotel is a little dated, time for a room refresh, but otherwise everything was really nice. Breakfast was good and they changed it up during the week. Hotel is located in a perfect area, only 15 minutes from everything to do in San Diego, easy freeway access. There are some very good restaurants just 2 miles up the street so you don't even have to get on the freeway. For location I'd rate it a 5.
