Les Twin Peaks, littéralement les « pics jumeaux », sont deux collines culminant à environ 280 mètres et situées à San Francisco, en Californie.
Amazing viewpoint of San Francisco and much of the Bay area. On a clear day, we were able to see the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Bay Bridge, Oakland, Financial District, and pretty much all of San Francisco. Great little hike up both peaks - the wooden steps along the side of each hill were newer/better maintained on the hill closer to the parking lot. Some of the wood planks were loose on the other hill, so I would suggest extra care. This is a must-see when you visit San Francisco!
It is a beautiful place. A small hiking. You can see the amazing view of SF on top of this place. Limited parking. Restrooms are there. Be ensure the weather is good enough to watch the great view. You can spend an hour or two here. Sometimes events are organised here. Very difficult to find a parking lot if any event is happening.
Twin Peaks, named for a pair of 922-foot-high summits, is a remote residential neighborhood with modern homes densely packed on steep lots along winding streets. Great view of entire SFO city form here. This place is well managed. You will get a good view for sun rise and sun set. You can visit this place when you are feeling lonely and upset. After spending some times later you will find happiness.
Offers great views. Winding roads with amazing view all the way up. Aslong as it's clear and nice out you'll have a great chance to take stunning pictures. However can get a bit crowded so you may be looking for parking for a while be prepared and bring some snacks. Only a few bathrooms which at times have lines.
Beautiful vista of San Francisco Bay Area. Of course, on a clear day like today. On a foggy day you can't see much. But today was so clear you could see across the Bay to Oakland, and the East Bay, North Bay, the Marin Headlands, and South. It's crowded but people don't stay long so it's usually easy to park. It's breezy though, so bundle up. The cold temp is probably why no one stays very long. There's usually a police presence in the area. I guess to prevent crimes that happened in the past. (Cameras getting stolen, cars broken into)
Absolutely love driving up to twin peaks and finding a cool spot to enjoy the nice views. There are two peaks of course and definitely worth climbing up to get a higher elevation view of the scenery and skyline. Be warned that it can get really windy some days so be prepared. Not too steep of a climb, the steps are dirt but terraced nicely. Some parts can be a bit rocky but the view is nice from whatever part of twin peaks you choose to enjoy. Sometimes you can find a secluded side area to enjoy as well.
Absolute must see if you're in San Francisco. Amazing view of the entire Bay area. Be careful as there may not be a place to park if it's to busy. Will also be very windy. Perfect weather when I was there.
This point offers a great panorama of downtown, the bay and the two bridges. The views are beautiful both at daytime and at night. There is a parking lot at the top but you can also get there by bus followed by a little hike. Climb on of the two peaks and you'll get a 360 degrees view of the city. It's better if you bring a jacket, it's usually very windy at the top. Exercise caution at sunrise or sunset; over the last year tourist were attacked with pepper spray and had their cameras and personal belongings stolen.
A terrific place to get a bird's eye view of San Francisco city center and skyline. Alcatraz island and the Golden Gate bridge too. Hiked up from the Castro through Corwin Community Garden. After soaking in the amazing panoramic vistas we hiked back down through Noe valley. Our reward for all that trekking... a stop at Bi-Rite Creamery!
Twin peaks was super great! The view is extraordinary! I took my girlfriend up there to get engaged and it worked! I would say if you want to have a romantic day, end it with this. Or start it with this. She loved it and you can see every building in the entire city. Good luck and have fun!
Twin Peaks is one of the best Urban Lookout points in the world. On one side you can see clear across the bay to Berkeley with the view of the entire Bay Bridge. As you turn to the left and walk down a little bit, you get a view of the Golden Gate Bridge, sometimes with some cloud and fog cover. Today was simply golden. The view at night is equally amazing. Watch out for shady people here sometimes.
Awesome views of the city. This is a must-go-to location when sight seeing in San Francisco. Parking has never been a problem; worst case you wait a minute or two circling the parking until one becomes available. Be sure to bring a sweater since it gets extremely windy once you're up this high! Once arrived, this place accommodates and gives an awesome view to those two are willing to go up a few stairs as well as those who are just wanting to walk a few steps.
Amazing views of the city. Set on higher altitude at the center of San Francisco. Twin peaks allow you a spectacular view of the city, specially at sunset. Best part is to see city light up as the sun goes down. You can literally see most of the San Francisco from here including Golden Gate bridge, Bay Bridge. View down the market street leading up to Ferry building is amazing. Can get quite windy.
Best views of city after sunset. You can climb on both peaks. Plenty of parking near view point. Try to get parking towards downtown side. Too windy carry thick jacket to enjoy your visit. Good spot for SF skyline pictures on non cloudy day. Careful with thieves done leave valuables in car. Repeat careful with thieves in this.
Great viewpoint when it's clear. Today was a little hazy out in the distance, but it's beautiful. There are a few pull over parking places and a round about parking lot at the top next to the towers. At the lot, there are two self cleaning restrooms. It was also super duper windy, and I've heard it really just depends on the day. Was lucky enough to see a raptor hovering on the wind.
Lovely place. I would love to go here almost every weekend night. The view is just awesome. Especially at nights. Somehow, nothing comes into our minds nothing can here while sitting here and watching the view in a little windy and chilly weather.
