A step back in time on an extraordinary piece of machinery. Was a great visit. Well worth it.

Great educational fun with or without kids, although the younger ones (under 7?) may get bored. The audio tour is well produced and very informative.

Want able to go in with my little ones do to all the walking. But the view from out side is breath taking. Such amazing history.

A great feeling to witness the actual submarine from inside. You get the feel of the life the soldiers live during the wars. Must visit.

It's a self guided tour so make sure you take your time. It is a bit tight and you can visit all of the rooms. Lots of detail.

As soon as you descended down to the submarine you immediately gained a great sense of appreciation for the brave men who served on the ship. The audio tour provided a great background and first hand account of the veterans who served on the Pampanito and lived through the war. The museum serves as a great reminder of the the sacrifices made to preserve freedom and peace.

Unique experience than any other war ships class (and it is rare to see a SS with main gun), teaches you never become a crew member of submarine. Be aware this kind of war machine tour is really just for military fans, especially this one: if you don't listen the narration, the tour can be done within 5 minutes. You cannot operate any weaponary or engine(of course).

The tour of this sub was ok. It was fun to see the close living quarters and cramped space these men had to deal with while navigating the ocean, but it certainly wasn’t my favorite. For me, it was too small and I enjoyed just walking through quickly. If you don’t mind close quarters and walking around while swaying in the water, you may love learning about the history behind it. For me it isn’t something I’d do again. I would have much preferred to your the large ship with more space and time to tell more history.

Loved the tour. The ship is kept in great condition. Need to see to truly appreciate the life of those brave sailors. Great experience!

Very cool experience to see an actual war vessel in person. It definitely gives you more perspective of what the men must have felt like living in the sub for weeks/months at a time.

Outstanding museum! The material condition of the boat is AMAZING. You can't help but feel the deepest respect for those Men who operated these boats after seeing the museum. My Docent was Dwight who went above and beyond to give both a informative and interesting tour. Great job Dwight and thank you!

It will cost you $20 to take the self-guided audio tour but it is so well done it's worth twice the price. Ladders are steep and hatches are narrow so be prepared. The boat is in excellent shape and the descriptions of each compartment and items of machinery are very informative . Take your time and take it all in. Well worth it.

This was a really awesome and well curated tour of a WWII sub. The audio provided was really insightful and added so much to the experience. I highly recommend this. It is definitely NOT wheelchair accessible though.

Loved it. Small but mighty. Super nice volunteer at the end of the tour. Cool stories. My wife's first submarine. She loved it 😊

Astonishing! I spent an overnight in this submarine. The guides were awesome and very knowledgeable. They guided us through the history and helped us till midnight. It was one of a kind experience to spend a night in a submarine. Certainly recommended.

This place was so much fun for someone like me who is very intrigued in history. If you can't do tight spaces though this might not be too great! It is very narrow and with other people around it could get uncomfortable. It is guided by headphones. They provide you a little nano pod and tour plays there.

Tour was very educational. Glad we spent the time to visit the historic craft. Better than walking around the Fisherman's Wharf tourist trap.

This is an awesome Museum! The condition of the vessel is impressive. It's a great visit if you're a history buff or looking for something to fill your schedule. When else would you get to walk into a submarine! The tour is self guided with a headset. You can do the entire vessel in about 20-30 minutes. There is a military discount with valid ID and it's free if you're in uniform.

What a fascinating look at life on a WWII submarine. Well maintained and the fact that it’s floating really adds to the experience. Can’t even imagine what it would be like to have been under attack in this. Audio guide does a great job of explaining what you’re looking at and enriching the tour.
