White Mill is a smock mill west of Sandwich, Kent, England that was built in 1760. The mill has been restored and is open to the public as part of the White Mill Rural Heritage Centre. The museum also includes the miller's cottage, which has been furnished to appear as it did between 1900 and 1939. Very interesting. Sails were Off for repair when we visited.
This is a wonderful old windmill which is currently undergoing restoration. The millers cottage will take you back in time giving you an insight when the windmill was grinding local corn. A little gem for those with an interest in local history and windmills.
Thoroughly enjoyed our morning at the White Mill, well worth the time. Well done to all the volunteers for the hard work put in.
Great morning out with the kids. Lovely volunteers.
So glad we didn’t miss this visit ! Very interesting for parents and children as well. Congrats to all the people who give their time to renovate this piece of english heritage !
