It is a good place to know more about the history of Chile in the big city. You can learn more about the Colonial Age by visiting the Museum and the Cathedral and walking in the typical shops on the corner. The diversity in each street is so interesting, just take care of yourself and keep your important things. To be a commercial and very busy place, it is easy to be a victim of a robbery. Around you it is possible to find banks, shops, cafes and more. Just remember, it is a busy place in the day, to take a bicycle, the car is not the best option. Santiago, beautiful and so diverse city.

Centrally located square which is frequented by tourists and visitors. Surrounded by colonial style buildings and green spaces. Neat and clean place usually crowded during day time. The lighting during the night time looks wonderful and serene. Overall worth visiting for the wonderful architecture and atmosphere👌Best way to explore the place is to walk around the paved streets. Language can be a barrier as English is not widely spoken but thankfully you have some signboards which help to navigate around.

Awesome place to have a break in your day. Walking distance from the main subway lines it has several places to eat. Located in the heart of the downtown it's a vivid location which it shows how Chileans rush to everywhere. Close to government Palace "La Moneda" and in front of the city Cathedral, this place it always has something different to show to his visitors.

Pros Great facility. I went there for a conference and was pleased by what I saw. Clean rooms and grounds. Different places to eat and drink at the resort. Staff was friendly. Pool area is well kept and fun. Cons Wifi can be spotty between building and in the conference hall. Not a lot of anything close by.

A great meeting place, especially for foreigners, as all the locals know exactly where this is. There is always something happening here, be it political rants, local musicians busking for tips or many free tours that use this as thier starting point. A square full of history.

Beautiful old buildings surround this enormous plaza. There are many cafes where you can relax and people-watch. In the late afternoon on a Saturday in autumn when we were there, the plaza was full of families and young people of all shapes, sizes and colors. A Cueca group was dancing in the gazebo. Enjoy this energetic space but keep your purse and cell phone under close observation at all times.

It is amazing to walk around here with your family, you can take pictures next to the statues and buy a candy in a food stall, I recommend it.
