Imerovigli (Greek: Ημεροβίγλι) is a village on the island of Santorini, Greece, adjacent to the north of the island capital Fira. Imerovigli is mostly famous for its beautiful sunset, that it is called "balcony to the Aegean". Its houses are built amphitheatrically around the caldera and it is crossed by narrow, paved paths.
Imerovigli has many lovely churches, all made in the Cycladic architectural style. The most notable are the church of Ai-Stratis, in the centre of the village, and the Monastery of Saint Nikolaos, on the way connecting Imerovigli to Fira. Another famous site of Imerovigli is Skaros, the site of a Venetian Castle.

Nice hike and view from the rocks. Was windy when I went there, gets a bit scary if you want to walk unmarked paths, perfect for your adrenaline rush.

Gorgeous view of the entire island, and the volcano. Beautiful place to watch the sun set, or have a picnic. If you have some dexterity and courage, you can climb right up to the top from the west side.

The views are spectacular. You will need to be quite fit to climb it. Remember to wear good walking shoes and take plenty of water.

It was a really great hike with some awesome views. Difficulty was moderate due to many stairs. They peak is accessible but you should be confident in basic climbing abilities. Worth the work!

Spectacular views at sunset! Worth the adventure if you climb to the top; recommended for somewhat fit people as you have to scramble up (and back down!) some rocks. Otherwise, you can still enjoy awesome views from the end of the trail (only like 10-15 minutes one way). Not very difficult seeing that everywhere you go in Santorini you are walking up and down a multitude of steps haha. Go for it!

Definitely one of the places TO VISIT when on Santorini. Offers some breathtaking views, but it is not an easy to get down to the Rock and back, because you have to follow a rocky path. Flip flops are fine if you are not planning to go all the way up, otherwise hiking shoes are recommended 👍🏻🇬🇷.

Amazing view. You can't miss it if you are in Santorini. Climb to the top if you dare. I did it ;).

Gentle hike up ruins of a castle. Windy with beautiful viewpoint of the caldera

Don't bother risking your life by climbing up the rock. But the views along the way are otherwise gorgeous.

Beautiful place! The trail is not so hard - if you don't have good condition you can be in the Ekklisia Theoskepasti after 20-25 minutes. Road to the top takes 25-35 minutes (mostly you are going by steps). View is really amazing but avoid very windy days - wind here can be very strong and sometimes the hiking is impossible. The Best hour is between 5 and 7 p.m. (because of light).

Enroute view is beautiful. Path is scattered with loose stones here and there, pls be careful not to slip on them, or pls wear shoes with good grip at base. Takes about an hour to and from Skaros Rock. For someone who exercises once a week or less, be prepared that the hike back uphill stairs can be strenuous on the breath and thighs.

Beautiful moutain and place to watch tne santorini 's sunset. People recommend to go there close to the sunset but you should consider the time to arrive close to the mountain and climb down 300 steps and climb up 300 hundreds to be in a good spot. Is one experience that you ll remember forever!!

Beautiful view from the walk up to the summit. We didn’t actually walk up the whole way as the end is a bit of a scramble, and looks a little dangerous. People do go up it though, but if you’re planning to make sure you are wearing proper footwear (which we weren’t). In all honesty though, you don’t need to go that last little bit to enjoy the views and the walk. Only downside is the amount of tourists who carve their names and initials into the rocks.

Dope. Enjoy the climb. Take water. Challenging for those of the soft composition.
