Lafayette Square is one of the 22 squares of Savannah, Georgia, United States. It is located in the fourth row of the city's five rows of squares, on Abercorn Street and East Macon Street, and was laid out in 1837. It is south of Colonial Park Cemetery, west of Troup Square, north of Calhoun Square and east of Madison Square. The square is named for Gilbert du Motier, Marquis de Lafayette, the French hero of the American Revolution who visited Savannah in 1825. The oldest building on the square is the Fitzgerald Pelot House, at 221 East Charlton Street, which dates to 1840.
The square contains a fountain commemorating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Georgia colony, donated by the Colonial Dames of Georgia in 1984, as well as cobblestone sidewalks.

Visiting the Lowe was a great experience. I was unaware of it's rich history. I would recommend people to visit..

It gave a real sense of living in that time. Right down to why certain types of furniture were chosen. And a good example of a quality of wood we will never see again.

Beautiful house. Had a strange experience where they almost had to carry me out. But it was beautiful from what i saw.

A beautiful historic home located on Lafayette Square. A rich history with many original pieces of furniture, portraits and table ware.

Super cool if you're into history. Also if you're into ghosts or haunted homes, this is a great place. I love the architecture and all the old historical pieces in the home. There is also some real silver in the home that was used by Andrew low himself. I found this place fascinating!

We took the tour and really enjoyed it. Our guide was great and answered all of our questions and even gave us a few recommendations of the tours that we might enjoy. The house and history are beautiful and have been well cared for. Don't forget to pet the lions.

If you love historic homes and tours then you will love it. The home is beautiful and if you're in to architecture this is unique. The shear size of several of these homes downtown are amazing. I have a few pictures to include.

This never restored jewel should not be missed! It's a fantastic look back into history as even the furniture is original to the house. It is well maintained and curated by a staff of volunteers who obviously care for preserving it's heritage.

If you are any bit of a history buff like I am, then you will love this adorable, well built homes of our nation's history. My only warning is that you dont individual tickets to these houses, but instead you buy tickets from the boat museum that cover multiple houses for a reduced/discounted price. But enjoy the walk to each one and really take in all Savannah has to offer. So beautiful and romantic and it has been heavily revamped for modern days but the city has also taken to maintaining the beauty and integrity of their historical buildings

Very good guide gave us the history of the house and region. Beautiful house and grounds with period furnishings. Free for active military and families.

Very interesting place. Supposed to be haunted... which makes it a little more fascinating. Full of information.

Nice to get a chance to go inside at night. You have to attend a ghost tour to do that. It was a pleasant tour, but nothing to right home about. The place is reportedly haunted, and I would believe that. Granted, we (I) didn't see any ghost, there is enough folks that feel like they have.

This stop on our Ghost and Gravestones tour was a welcome treat. The historical stories and original artifacts in the museum add to the credibility of the ghost tour. Our hostesses Scarlet Jewel and Willow were informative and animated. Definitely a highlight of my Savannah stay

Amazing staff, very informative and full of fun and education. We had an amazing time at this stop along the Ghosts & Gravestones Tour, our Host was Charles, one of the caretakers who was able to answer every question asked.
