The Olympic Sculpture Park, created and operated by the Seattle Art Museum (SAM), is a public park with modern and contemporary sculpture in downtown Seattle, Washington. The park, which opened January 20, 2007, consists of a 9-acre (36,000 m2) outdoor sculpture museum, and indoor pavilion, and a beach on Puget Sound. It is situated in Belltown at the northern end of the Central Waterfront and the southern end of Myrtle Edwards Park.
The Olympic Sculpture Park is a free-admission outdoor sculpture park with both permanent outdoor sculpture, temporary works, and site-specific installations. The Seattle Art Museum regularly rotates a major artwork at the Olympic Sculpture Park, including installations by Victoria Haven from 2016 - 2017, Spencer Finch from 2017 - 2019, and Regina Silveira from 2019 - 2020.

Easy to get to if your strolling around pike place market and headed to the space needle. Nice little addition to the city to keep it interesting! The massive head is pretty cool.

Really not much to see on a rainy day. All the sculptures are pretty spread out, and more large instillations than particularly stunning or engaging pieces. Comparing it to the DC Mall sculpture garden with much more interesting pieces, The Olympic park has about half as many sculptures spread across about 4x the space. It seems like the park is mostly there for stunning views of the sound

I was expecting a sculpture park and instead found a park with some sculptures. A nice enough place. And the sculptures that were there were enjoyable. It just didn't even come close to meeting expectations in terms of number of art exhibits.

I love this park, it may as well be my backyard for as many times as I go there. Great for strolling, taking a run or just sitting in the sun, watching the ferries glide back and forth. There is coffee and WiFi inside the building, which is almost always quite. Did I mention I love this place?

This is such an awesome park. You get to sit on chairs and watch the sunset. Very clean and well maintained. Easy to access by bus, or a walk from downtown. It's got it all: views, art, just stunning!

Prominent public art is an awesome addition to/improvement upon any place, in my opinion. I absolutely love to see artwork in cities, and each of the lovely sculptures available here for public admiration are truly one of a kind. But don't just take my word for it- go have a look for yourself! Time well spent, guaranteed.

Good for a nice walk around some modern art. Good views of the Sound. The explanations for the sculptures are interesting enough and the main piece, which is a classic Richard Serra piece is amazing. Can't be beaten at the price (free).

A fun place to walk around. Stunning views and lots of cool sculptures. Close to food and waterfront shopping. Wish it had more places to sit, but still, there is a lot to see and plenty of open, green picnic space.

Beautiful water front walk. Great views of Mt. Rainer and Olympics on clear days. Great trails as well as atmosphere. Awsome place to stroll with friends or a loved one.

Best sculpture park I’ve been to. Cool sculptures, right by the water. Personally recommend going here during sunset. It’s one of the best views of the sound, period. Also the bike path picks up here and runs all the way to magnolia or ballard, so go here for the start of an amazing bike adventure.

Amazing park that perfectly combines nature and art with stunning views of Puget sound , Olympic mountains and the Elliott bay. Perfect and vibrant place for biking, dog walking or just wandering soaking the amazing views. During summer there are a number of activities available for public like yoga classes, art workshops etc. One can check SAM calendar for details on events. There's a pavilion with a helpdesk, cafe and play area for children. A great place for a picnic too.

Lucky me! The native dogwoods were blooming today. I had a wonderful detour through the sculpture park today which is a very easy side excursion from the Elliott bay waterfront walk to Myrtle Edwards park. I found tbe sculpture park to be lovely, restful and very Zen while embracing it's urban and somewhat industrial setting.

We were here right around sunset! Super beautiful. There is plenty of seating facing the water. This would be a great place to spend time as a family! Cool sculptures.

Being able to speak an address or locating into the system is priceless because we all know trying to type it in could end in disaster (inattentive driving). Google Maps is much more accurate then the system I'm used to using and it's graphics or a lot more easily interpreted as we are driving in traffic and need fast instructions easy to understand immediately. However, there is much room for improvement.

This place is incredible and you can walk straight onto the waterfront at the end. The views are gorgeous and the park is immaculately maintained. Best of all, it's free! Parking can be difficult unless you're willing to pay in their lower level garage.

It was a beautiful day at the Olympic Sculpture Park. The boardwalk near the water was a particularly lovely place to stroll and chat. It would be a terrific location for a picnic or for lounging with a book. This is a wonderful location for a first date, a family outing, to get exercise, to chat with friends about art and life, or to just do some reflective thinking. We're very lucky to have such a marvelous place in our community. Highly recommended.

Gorgeous place! I attended a private event and it was top notch! I was impressed that they had elegant food to meet most dietary restrictions. They even posted allergy info, impressive! Beautiful views, music and fun!

Pretty great sculptures and the fact that it's free makes it something you should definitely see if you are visiting Seattle! They did a good job of creating an escape from the city, even with railroad tracks running through the middle of the park. You almost forget you're in the heart of Seattle.

Absolutely love coming here! Whether I’m studying, enjoying a picnic with my wife, or agitated,...this is the perfect place to come! Whether you’re watching a wedding party, views of Puget Sound, the cruise ships docking, or simply having a picnic, this is the perfect place to be. Views of downtown Seattle are the best!! The crowds are nice too! Not too many transients are loitering as well. You might find one or two. This is also the perfect place to fly kites/drones.

I loved my time here! This park is better than I expected. There are a few different pathways to explore and there are many interesting sculptures to enjoy. I liked the large red sculpture with a great view of the Space Needle & lots of seating available. The actual building doesn’t contain much, but is convenient for a resting area & bathrooms. I also loved that the Elliot Bay and Centennial Park are right there, with nice walking and biking paths.

Gorgeous walk with family or loved ones on a Friday evening at sunset. Beautiful views of Puget Sound combined with expertly placed sculptures in the middle of native and relaxing plantings. Meander and stroll and enjoy the fresh air of Seattle. Combine with extended walk along the shore northward parallel to the rail lines. The perfect Oasis away from the hustle and bustle of one of the country's biggest cities.

This is kind of a weird thing to mention in a review, but I wanted to give a big shout out to the security staff here. I lost a cell phone under the eagle, and they were all really cheerful, helpful, and courteous on the phone and in person. When I went to get my phone back, they had even plugged it in to charge! It's so common to deal with people in roles like this who are grouchy and minimally helpful, and it was such a nice experience to have it be the opposite! Usually it's a sign that the employer is treating employees well, so kudos to SAM and/or whatever agency they contract.

We were visiting Seattle on Mothers Day,our newest Family Tradition. Part of that tradition is eating a brunch prepared by respective children and then taking a long walk on the city to walk off brunch. The walk was to the water front. I had never seen the Olympic Sculpture Park. Wow what a find, very impressive works of art. When taking in the sites of Seattle this is right up there with all the spectacular stops tourist and local alike can and should make....

The Olympic Sculpture Park is a great place to wander around and have a quiet stroll. Convenient to downtown, usually not too crowded, and an easy walk to Pike Place. Good views all around and benches throughout the park. The art is nothing to write home about, but still very nice.

It’s the sculpture park of the northwest. Don’t expect tiny sculpture park like one in Oslo. Also it’s a park first that happens to have sculptures or artwork as part of it. One got to explore, discover, get lost and stumble upon sculptures. It’s a great venue to start journey along the Elliott Bay to the north or towards downtown Seattle. Besides the cool building my favorite is Richard Sara’s sculptures. It’s rustic, simple, pure, and amazingly artful. Got me, it requires silent way of experiencing rather that an art inspired discussions.
