Serfaus is a municipality in the district of Landeck in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is well known as part of the ski-region "Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis", which was formed when Serfaus teamed up with the two nearby municipalities of Fiss and Ladis in 1999. Serfaus is also known for its small hovertrain subway system, the Dorfbahn Serfaus. With four stations and a length of 1280 m (the second-shortest underground train line in the world) it allows for a complete ban of cars within the town, while at the same time maintaining the village's attractiveness to tourists, particularly skiers.

Most family friendly place I have ever visited with my 4 and 6 year old children. Amazing scenery, so much to do for kids, great outdoors, 2 weeks were not enough. The perfect place for active families with kids age 0-99, hillwalkers, hikers, climbers, mountainbikers, adrenalin junkies, nature lovers, triathletes, lazy people who love a cake or beer at the top of the mountain... Best of all no crowds even at busy times, no neds. Happy kids = happy parents! We will be back!
Lot of well maintained piste, family friendly, fairly priced. And of course the Alps are just beautiful.
Lovely village. Underground free train. Extensive slopes. Well organised entry into gondolas (rather than the usual rude European pushing in). Cheap ski/boot storage at the gondola.
My all time favourite ski resort! Great for families with children as well as adults. Few challenging slopes though. Lots of sun, lots of snow and high enough to be cold enough. A skipass can be quite expensive though, but what you get for it is priceless. Over the years the area has become more and more popular and therefore the number of people on the slopes also has increased gradually.
Amazing place for family with kids with lots of play areas around the mountains, varied hiking routes for all, lakes with lots of activities and good dining.
Very large ski area. Very nice track, but only few blue runs. Not a good ski place for beginners. Excelent cable system. Good local public transportation. Highly recommanded.
Excellent ski resort. 230km of slopes, any kind you like (from beginners to advanced). In Serfaus there's an underground tram on aircussions, really great for the kids and you get very fast to the slopes.
Spacious ski area with loads of red and blue slopes but also demanding blacks. Probably best place for skiing with kids. When going for lunch or a breack you have the choice of modern mountain restaurants or cozy ski huts. All in all simply amazing!
Very nice ski area with many slopes and good snow quality. The price for a day ticket is OK. The restaurants are a bit expansive. An après ski atmosphere did not evolve at the end of the ski day.
