This is undoubtedly one of the best places I've ever visited. The architecture is astonishing and always different in every room. The garden is gigantic, there's a great variety of plants and flowers, and just staying there, on a bench in the sunlight, is an amazing experience itself, as silly as this may sound. It comes without saying, the best season to visit the Alcázar would be spring, when everything is blossoming. My only critique is that there are many entrances, and it wasn't so easy to find ours! You'd better book in advance.

Beautiful architecture. The palace is a local wonder and it is a must see in Seville. The gardens are extremely well kept and you can spend hours wondering through them. There is a lot to see and you can be here for a good few hours. There is a cafeteria on site and toilet facilities. Wheel chair accessible for most areas of the palace. I would recommend booking online in advance to avoid the long queues. You won't be disappointed with the Royal Alcázar of Seville.

Amazing palace to visit - well worth the ticket money and only waited around half an hour in the queue (with it being January) but think at busier times of the year it would be worth booking online in advance. You could spend a good half day here exploring the gardens and the palace. Would highly recommend visiting here.

Beautiful place with lots to see and do. The parks and monuments are a sight and there is a lot of history to be uncovered there. Visitors tend to be full of joy as they navigate the streets, cafés and restaurants etc. The atmosphere is bustling and full of diverse culture. Recommend cycling around the place or walking, to take it all in properly. You can't ignore the lovely fragrance that oozes from the street orange trees.

Old history and amalgamation of two different civilizations. The architecture shows old arabic scripture on the walls, the reliefs and the arches. Lots of fountains and beautiful gardens. There are statues and amazing courtyards. Ticket is bit high for foreigners 11 euros. Discounts available for senior citizens.

Amazing place! I come here three times! Each time , Different experiences. It is also a shooting location for TV dramas games of thrones . The entire palace makes you feel like you come to the Arab world. And across the wall is Seville Cathedral. The palace is located in the city center and feels more like a paradise. Secret place hidden in the city.

Amazing! Wonderful Shady squares in the stunning gardens. The scent of orange blossoms and jasmine all Around. Ponds full of fish and even peacocks wander around. The tiles all around the palace showing huge influence of middle eastern cultures. Well worth a visit. Book online to save the long queue to get in.

Great place for a fascinating visit and insight into the history of Seville. Very little I can add to other reviews other than to advise booking online for tickets to avoid the horrendous queues outside. When we went it was rather over-run by tour groups but one could escape these in the lovely and extensive gardens. The maze is worth visit, especially if you have children.

Such a beautiful place with the most stunningly intricate designs made by mosaic tiles that form the foundations of the moorish architecture. It is really so impressive! So rich in history and a definite must-see in Sevilla! It is imperative that you book tickets for a guided tour in advance so that you can skip the enormous line that normally takes hours, and you may actually learn something interesting. After the tour, take the time to explore the gardens as they are full of mysterious labyrinths and really well kept.

Probably my favourite spot in Seville. The history is fascinating. The architecture is absolutely beautiful. The colours and the tiles are stunning. And worth everyone going for a visit. I spent a good hour or two just roaming around and soaking in the natural beautiful of this place. Reminds me of Morocco in a lot of way to be honest. Highly recommend a trip here

A must see for your trip to Seville. Lots to see and a wonderful garden. However, the English language portions of the information signs are quite difficult to read as the text is a yellowish colour which is printed onto a beige background. The Spanish text is so much easier to read but that doesn't help if you can't understand Spanish! Expect to spend several hours here and don't worry too much about the queue to get in... it moves quite quickly. You can book in advance but apparently the pre-booked queue is often as long as the queue to buy tickets.

It's very beautiful. There are so many details you can't even pay attention to everything. I recommend the visit during the winter, otherwise it will be too hot. Be careful when you choose guiding tours or any agency that sells tickets. Never do business with Pancho Tours because they are dishonest. If you can, buy the tickets well in advance and pay attention not to buy only the tour instead of the ticket (and the tour). The lines are huge, so get there early or be prepared to wait.

Highly recommend. Book in advance to skip the line. go early or late to avoid the worst of the crowds, leave 4-5 hours to explore and relax. the Audio guide is great. don't miss the water organ. It only runs every hour. Also the baths. They're easy to miss but beautiful.

Very beautiful. Highly recommend buying tickets online before hand; you can buy student tickets for €4. I had no issue and plus you skip the huge line outside for those who are buying at the place. I also would recommend the audiology unless you’re okay with just walking around...that’s what we did. Very scenic, definitely recommend.

If you are visiting Seville then this is a must. An incredible spectacle of architecture combining both Christian and Islamic influences. The detail in the marble and the carvings is amazing. Some may even recognise the gardens from Game of Thrones! However queues to get in can be vast. Booking in advance is essential. It's well worth the effort and cost.

This is the place to get lost for hours!! Takes nice little stroll with the peacocks... and really enjoy the amazing views. Who knew such a wonder exist in the middle of a city? I’m so glad I came here. It was super nice! The long line was worth the wait!! I loved it! Wish I actually left more time time to enjoy this place

Alcázar in Seville is worth a visit! If you are interested in the Spanish history or even in the Islamic-Christian history then you should spend a couple of hours to explore this place! I strongly recommend to book the tickets online in advance! Why? Well then you skip the line, and the line can be long! It needs a bit of a planning in advance as you choose a time slot where you have to be at the main entrance but it is definitely worth it as you save a lot of time. Also, the audio guide is worth its money. All hot spots are marked with numbers, which makes it very easy to listen to the right explanation on the audio guide.

This place is awesome. I spent a whole afternoon here but wish I had just one more hour x) Everything about the scenery and the restoration is lovely. They control the inflow of tourists with ticket time slots so book online/early. Plan to spend 5 hours if you want to really enjoy all aspects of the alcazar. This would be the next nicest place to the Alhambra because it's like a mini-Alhambra but not as crowded! Recommend for sure :)

The place is fabulous. The only problem is the long queue and extremely expensive guided tour. Be careful when you buy any guided tour because this doesn’t include the entry ticket. Don’t buy the guided tour any agency sells (the online booking system does not work so I bought the guided tour from trip advisor). I ended up paying €92 of guided tour for 4 people. When we show up there are at least twenty of us in the same group. The guided tour lasted about one hour and there is no interaction at all. I have the feeling that they are just saying what they have been saying everyday. It’s awful and is not worth €23 per person at all. The place has audio guide which might be better (more options of language).

Very impressed with the condition of this monument, a UNESCO world heritage site.. Might have been better to go earlier in the day. Be sure to get a good, local, professional guide. Our guide was fantastic and I appreciated the visit much more than if I had toured independently. The building & gardens are a real tribute to medieval Moorish and Christian architecture in magnificent concert to create a fairy-tale palace that has really stood the test of time. It's astonishing how clever the design is and how, some 800 years after construction it remains in such excellent condition. Ah, such amazing accomplishments when we work together!

Line was INSANELY long! We went early and we waited an HOUR in line. There might be people who will try to cut the cue (line) they did with us and so you’ll need to watch that! Well worth the wait through! There’s also pretty decent food and drink available for purchase (including beer and wine) inside by the gardens, which we really appreciated!! There’s a lot to cover inside so a nice break midway was nice on their patio. ❤️ Careful of the peacocks walking around. Some were harmless and others were aggressive and steeling food! 😂

Where to start? Magnificent complex housing a blend of architectural delights and out-of-this-world gardens. Traverse through multiple time periods in 4-6hrs of magical delight, weave in and out of Moorish spaces built with mathematical precision with honeycomb designs, walk through the halls and rooms where Spanish exploration of the Americas was planned, to finally entering gardens that look straight from the jungle book but laced with classical Greek and Roman art. Parts of Game of Thrones was filmed here...take a wild guess. Hint: not the North ;)

Truly the highlight of any visit to Seville. This palace rivals the Alhambra in size, decision, gardens and detail. Well worth the price of admission. Expect to spend at least 2 hours here, preferably early or late in the day, so wear comfortable shoes! There is plenty of shade and cool areas. if you download their free app, you need to locate where you are, then click the dot closest to you for an explanation of what you're seeing. Points of interest are well marked.
