Fantastic mosaic floors. Well worth a visit if you are in the area. It's off a main shopping street, so browse on the way there and back. Close to the "mushroom", another place to visit, stunning views from the top.

The countess used to tear down walls and renovate just to accommodate mosaics she brought from archeological sites, so the ground floor is a fascinating hodgepodge. The guided tour of the second floor (the only way to get upstairs) is well worth it to see how the home was kept.

Fantastic collection of Roman mosaics. Opus Tessellatum and Sextile presented in a iwonderful architecture. I did not visit the first floor as I was only there for the mosaics. Most of them are stunning. Well worth the visit. The medaillon with the Personification of Summer in the Main Patio is one of the most beautiful mosaic portraits I have seen from th Roman times. If you enjoy mosaics, it is worth going just for this one !

Liked Dueñas better, but this was also very much worth the visit. The guided tour could be longer and more detailed and there is always room for improvement in the guide's language abilities in English.

Visiting this palace was a wonderful experience, and taking the group tour (an additional 3euros PP) is highly recommend. The architecture alone is sublime, and includes ancient mosaics (II and III a.C) which the countess had added in her 19th century remodelling of this previously typical 16th century Palace. I have never seen such an impressive and complete collection available in a home such such as this, and I am deeply grateful to the current descendants of the Countess of Lebrija who have left this treasure intact and generously made the furnished palace available for all to experience. The belongings of this family are diverse, historic, beautiful, rich, stylish and rare and to see them is such abundance and so well cared for is a unique experience. If you have the opportunity you must take this tour, I did not learn the name of our guide, but I hope you will have her, she all but sings the narrative, you will know when you hear her. Without the tour you will not see the amazing 2nd level with the vast treasures, nor will you hear about this interesting woman; the Condesa who brought her style and passion to create this incredible place. She said " Houses have their own countenance. They have souls. They have something indefinable, born of an idea or feeling. Now renovated embellished, it is the short compendium into which my whole life has been condensed. It is the shrine in which I have conserved the revered treasures of my grandparents and the art treasures accumulated during a lifetime." i believe her.

Very enjoyable visit to a building with a fascinating history and which was well restored by an owner with a distinct character!

English was hard to understand on the tour but still learned a lot. Beautiful palace.

Beautiful stately home! Only the guide raced us past the "important" objects and didn't give us time to look at what actually interested us. But this was only on the second floor, the ground floor is accessible without a guide.

€6 for ground floor visit or €9 including upper floor. We like all tourists do paid the €9 but it's not as great as expected. The art collection nothing special, the upper tour took around 15-20mins to show the rooms, not impressed and think it's over priced. If you love to see architecture and mosaics go to Alcazar, if you love see paintings go to Museo modern Arts. Last if you not prepare to pay the €9 better to skip this place as €6 for ground floor simply not worth.
