Clarke Quay is a historical riverside quay in Singapore, located within the Singapore River Planning Area. The quay is situated upstream from the mouth of the Singapore River and Boat Quay.
Clarke Quay was named after Sir Andrew Clarke, Singapore's second Governor and Governor of the Straits Settlements from 1873 to 1875, who played a key role in positioning Singapore as the main port for the Malay states of Perak, Selangor and Sungei Ujong.

Definitely one of the best locations in Singapore, for spending a pleasant evening in a restaurant and then enjoy the rest of the night in a bar, a pub or a disco club. In a relatively small area you will find so many different restaurants for almost any taste and cousine, from Europe, America and of course from Asia. Even the bars and the pubs are so many that surely anyone will be able to find at least three or four to fit their desires. There are also some disco clubs that are full of nice people and it is possible to dance, listen to good music and enjoy nice drinks up to the night. Clark Quay is definitely a first class location for fun and great food, so it's constantly packed by Singaporeans as well tourists from everywhere in the world, also because you can find so many different venues and all you need to have good time... and a taxi to go back home or to your hotel. Don't miss it!

What's not to like about Clarke Quay? It's a tourist spot and local spot. Full of bars, restaurants, nightlife and shopping (inside the malls). It is always on my list of places to take folks visiting Singapore. It can be dead on weekday nights, but generally good crowds on weekends. Good variety of different cuisines.

Great place with many restaurant options. Also like the walk by the river to quieter areas. But somehow it doesn't feel crazy as it is built up and put there for parties. I would prefer club street or any place that mushroomed as a party spot.

I visited during the day and this is DEFINITELY a night-time dinner, drinking, dancing, party party spot. Certainly there are things to do and see during the day but if you want a night out then come here. River cruises every 30 minutes I believe, with plenty of restaurants clubs and shopping. Enjoy yourself!

If you come to Singapore and haven't visited this place, then you miss true Singapore experience. My favourite place to stay. Anytime. Co. Great food options. Truly awesome views on backdrop of Singapore River. Awesome.

The best attractions in Clarke Quay offer visitors a great range of alternative things to do and see that doesn’t purely revolve around nightlife. Sure, Clarke Quay is famous for its stunning waterside restaurants and exciting collection of bars and clubs, but the area has so much more to offer. Most of the top-rated attractions around Clarke Quay are walking distance from MRT stations, and our carefully chosen selection includes a host of family-friendly activities and cultural visits that are perfect for the day time hours - leaving you plenty of time to enjoy that thriving Clarke Quay nightlife when the sun goes down.

Great place to chill out. Lots of joints to eat. Lot of different cuisines to choose from. Good music, good food. One can also take up a boat ride to cross the river. Good view and great place to spend the evening.

The party jewel of the Singapore Central district. In recent years, all the big party outlets have been slowly collated into this main nightlife district. With bright and colourful lights that extends through the night, you may find may partying spots and probably a few drunkards as your stroll through this area during the late hours of the end of the week. Still a definite visit if you want to let down your hair to just party, especially when the famous Zouk Singapore has been relocated here as well.

Drinking alcohol seemed to be the major attraction of this area. It's pretty by the river and you can catch a breeze on the humid nights. It's also well lit at night with many clubs and restaurants having security out front. As it was very close to my accommodation I did venture there a couple of times. There are a lot of food choices but nothing that had me going wow! Singapore is a safe place and this was true of Clarke Quay.

It's a great place to go for drinks or dinner with friends or colleagues. Or even for romantic dinner. You have more than 20 different restaurants and bars to choose from. It gets really busy in the evenings, therefore might take some time to find a restaurant with a best seat available.

Great place to relax in the evening. Highly recommend seeing at least once. The prices of food and drinks are a little raised here because of the popularity and the nightlife. If you can get in on one of the drink specials, it’s not that bad.

Pubs and bars on both sides of the river. Good food and drinks all around. Place for everyone.. There is fountain park for kids too. Most of the restaurants have kid's menu too. Good place for some ad-hoc shopping too. Spend some quality time here.

Whenever I am in Singapore I make sure that I visit this place. This place has its own charm, seating around the water bank where you can go for boating while on the edge you can always have few drinks, good food and live music to dance on. Everyone can find there own taste at this place.

I love this area. The ambiance is great... walking around at night while munching on ice cream makes me feel young again. Perfection (5 stars) would be attained with zero trash in the river (already very little) and a good power washing of the streets 👌

This is an awesome and upscale place. Lots of young crowd hang out at the restaurants and bars here on the river side. There is always some live performance here. Just the ambience itself makes it the best place to hang out. It's a wide spread space and you can find food and drinks everywhere. There are some shopping places as well.

Love going there with good friends!! It's a nice view by the river with nice breeze while dining at the outdoor. Afterwhich can catch some drink. With live band at different bistro and bars. Many choices of food & beverage available. Take a stroll around the place after eating and drinking its awesome!

Really nice place to chill with a group by the river. Very beautiful view St night with boats and the river lit up. The places by the river ( which serve decent food and liquor) are open till 2 am usually. It's the party place over the weekend. Fir people traveling to Singapore first time and are confused as to where to party..then this is the place for them to go and explore.

Nice place to spend by the evening of weekend or your holiday. There are many places to hang out, either restaurant, cafe, or just a place to drink. You can enjoy a lot: Central Clarke Quay (the small mall nearby) and its attraction, or the places by riverside (Riverside Point), or by the bridge, or doing a river cruise ($25/adult or $15/children 3-12 years old). Beware when taking pictures nearby the edge of quay, because there are no real fences to guard your safety.
