The National Orchid Garden, located within the Singapore Botanic Gardens, was opened on 20 October 1995 by Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew.
The Singapore Botanic Gardens has been developed along a 3-Core Concept. The three Cores consist of Tanglin, which is the heritage core that retains the old favourites and rustic charms of the historic Gardens; Central, which is the tourist belt of the Gardens; and Bukit Timah, which is the educational and recreational zone. Each Core offers an array of attractions.

A must visit place for all the orchid fans! The orchid garden is inside of the botanical gardens, and the only place where you need to buy an entrance ticket 🎟 amazing arrangements of all the different kind of orchids in the world! 🌎 reserve lots of time to walk here and get to see all the different areas of this garden. Take a map 🗺 with you as well, and sit down every once in a while to rest your feet from all the walking 🚶♀️. I recommend this garden though straight in the morning as a first place to visit so it’s not too crowded! ☝️

We visited the Singapore Botanical Garden and it is simply a haven of tropical trees, plants, and flora. While here, we focused on getting to the National Orchid Garden (separate entry fee S$5). This place is like no other - with a vast display of the most beautiful, colorful, and unusual orchids I’ve seen. A true feast for the eyes and soul. At the very least, you should spend 2 hours in this heaven, spend a whole day if you can.

Worth the entrance fee. Amazing plant life. There is a bit of reconstruction work happening right now but this should not put you off going. Highly recommend this place (and has plenty of places to sit and rest).

It a Tropical Paradise. Its a world where your senses come alive. One of the most beautiful places you will ever visit. Occasional visits are like nature therapies.

One of the best Orchid Garden i have seen. The design concept presenting the display of plants in four separate color zones: the spring zone with its prevailing colours of bright and lively shades of gold, yellow and creams; the summer zone with its major tones of strong reds and pinks; the autumn zone of matured shades; and the winter zone of whites and cool blues. A careful combination of selected trees, shrubs, herbs and orchids (mostly hybrids) with matching foliage and floral colours depicts the colour combination.

Paid attraction for adults and free for children under 12. They have lots of different types of orchids. They have a celebrity garden and VIP garden where they showcase hybrids named after famous people sightseeing as Princess Diana and President Obama. Was there in April 2018, a huge part was cordoned off, so check whether they have fully opened before visiting

A wonderful place. Big nature walk in mid of beautiful flowers, plants and trees. If you have luck like me you can enjoy musical performances and a show on the symphony stage. I liked the orchid garden very much. Enjoy it.

It is really great experience for oneself by seeing the Orchid Garden. Full of flowers, mainly orchids with many different colors. Of course pride for Singapore as it is national flower. The Garden is well maintained and the plants are so structured, we love to spend time with nature.

World's largest collection of Orchids! It is a very beautiful place. The S$5 entry fee is nothing for what you experience inside. If you love flowers you can not miss this one...

Absolutely stunning the highlight of our trip for me. An incredible number of beautiful orchids in a lovely landscaped and meandering garden. Entry is just 5 dollars making this easily one of the most affordable things to do in Singapore, and absolutely worthwhile. You could easily spend a day wandering the orchid garden and the surrounding botanic gardens

The National Orchid Garden is wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. We paid $5 per person. It was hot at 11 am. It took us about 1 hour and a half at the Orchid Garden. The orchids are well displayed. The Garden is well maintained. We took a bus #7 at the South Gate back to the Orchard MRT.

This park is perfect for family get together/bonding and recreation. It hosts a large area of green field and some marshes. You can spot some resident species there like squirrels, birds, butterfly, monitor lizard, and some domestic animals such as cats. The place has been kept in pristine condition by the tenants. The plants in the area were well preserved and maintained. By far the park is the cleanest one ive visited. Hopefully those visitors who pass by there will keep it that ways.

Situated within Singapore Botanic Gardens, which is the country's first UNESCO Heritage Site, the National Orchid Garden features some of the most exotic orchid collections in the world. So it is absolutely not to be missed when you are in Singapore! I strongly recommend visiting the National Orchard Garden to my overseas friends, especially to flora lovers. It charges a relatively small fee of S$5 for each person, given the fact that you get to enjoy the gorgeous blooms of an extremely wide variety of orchids. Tip: Its operating hours are from 8.30am to 7pm. Best timing to visit is at before 10am or from 4pm as it can be quite hot and humid on most afternoons (i.e. 10am to 4pm). Fun fact: Singapore national flower is an orchid hybrid known as the Vanda Miss Joaquim. Definitely check it out :)

Amazingly beautiful place to visit at the Botanic Garden Singapore. Worthy of being the world heritage site it is. Many rare flowers found here. Very well maintained and peaceful. If you're short on time, this is the must visit place. While the places outside is extremely scenic, this is a whole new level. Has an entry fee of 5 SGD, though if you're a student it's discounted to 1 SGD or often waived.
