Night safari is very well organised. Indeed there is a long queue but there are food/shopping stalls in the waiting area so you won't feel the long wait. But if you reach early nothing like it! You are taken in open trains and there is a audio played in the background telling you about the animals you are going to see. A very good view is provided as there are lights all around the path. Lights are dim but still enable one to see the animals. There are variety of animals some very peculiar. It was a very interesting ride.
One of a kind safari. I have been to quite a lot of zoos and very rarely have I found animals as active as they were in the night safari. The lighting simulates natural moon light allowing us to see the animals and at the same time not put them under too much artificial light. They really take care of the animals very well. There is a fire dance performance at the entrance, creatures of the night show immediately after entering and the tram ride. But most of all dont miss the trails. It takes a solid three hours to fully enjoy all the attractions.
The night safari which is part of the Singapore Zoo area is a must visit. We had a great experience and enjoyed the attraction to the fullest. The animals are out for the most part and the pathways are well made and lit in such a way to create a mood that enhances the experience. I believe that we chose the best time to visit and see the entire park. We chose the 9.15pm session where you can enter any time after that time. At 9.00pm there is a show of dancers with fire which is phenomenal. After which we entered the park and went straight to 'The creatures of the night' show which starts at 9.30pm. Once that is over make a move through the park starting at the Fishing Cat Trail. This loops through the entire park. We then caught the last tram which departs at 11.15pm to go around the park which concludes in about 30 to 40 minutes. This schedule worked out well for us and I would recommend it for anyone to go through the park. Remember to always turn the flash off when you are taking photos. Respect the animals and their habitats. - Thank you!
Excellent night time safari experience. Started with a nice 30 minute show titled "Creatures of the dark/night" with a lovely lady hosting it. Had to walk back to the entrance to board the open safari tram. Was quite crowded when we went. Perhaps due to the Chinese new year. We got to see all the animals. Adviceable to get the 3 park or 4 park ticket to visit this attraction. Totally worth it.
Had an amazing experience and outing with the family at the Night Safari. Be sure to take the tram ride. A must-go, in my opinion. The ride takes you to the special spots within the Night Safari. I was pleasantly surprised at how up-close in person we were to the animals. For me, the highlights for the ride were certainly the elephants and the Himalayan Tiger. The Creatures of the Night Show was splendid, in keeping us enthralled. You know you have succeeded when the audience ask for more, which is what my children did when the show ended! What made the visit so memorable were the zoo staff who introduced the animals to us at both the tram ride and the Creatures of the Night Show. They were witty, knowledgeable, professional and truly good at what they do. Obviously, much work has been put in behind the scenes. They also make the effort to emphasize the message of environmental conversation and the protection of endangered species, which is the message I am hoping my children will pick up. All in all, it was a very comfortable, engaging and educational visit for both the adults and the children. Way to go, Night Safari! Keep up the good work!
Great night safari. Went to the 815 entrance in middle of week so no crowds easy to walk around. Hours right onto a Tram and saw cool stuff. At the end walked right into the last showing off night time show at 930. Definitely make sure you catch the show. Them walked the trails and saw more animals. Very cool to see the animals at night n much more active them seeing animals during the day at a regular zoo. There were only two or three animals we couldn't see that were hiding. Well worth the trip.
Seems to be slightly overrated place. This is a unique concept but they just take you on a tram ride in a zoo it is not like safari. The variety of animals available here is good you can also take a walk on some paths. The creatures of the dark show is okay where they show you the talent of some animals. The expectations of people are high here but don't expect much here. But a nice concept roaming around the zoo in night with lights on animals. Take care of time if you want to walk around then visit here with appropriate time so you can roam and see the animals from near on foot instead of the tram ride.
The night Safari was great! An experience like no other. The show was a lot of fun and really informative. It was great to see the nocturnal animals very active and running around. The otters were great. Would highly recommend getting a tram pass included as you are able to see some animals you can't see well by foot. The night Safari is a little bit more strenuous by foot than the zoo, so make sure you are well rested if you've spent the day at the zoo! Overall a great experience and would highly recommend to everyone.
The kids love this! tram rides with animals sightseeing... On cool night... what more can they ask for... the show is interesting too and food and snacks available to fill your empty stomach after a night visit is perfect. the fire show at the entrance is also a bonus after the tour before going home.
Epic! One of the highlights of visiting Singapore and a very unique way to see the various animals. The tram ride is informative and fun, though it is extremely hard to get decent photos as the tram is constantly moving and your photos are likely to be blurry. Ensure that once the tram ride is over that you go back out and explore on foot; there’s plenty more to be found and explored and you can get even closer to many of the animals. Allow a good number of hours to do it properly!
Great place, fantastic concept. Get on a little bus train and have a guided tour, takes about half an hour and then go to an animal show. You can also walk round three routes, about 20 min each. Yes the animals are in captivity but it is a fairly large space and if they want to hide they can so you may not see anything. The bats are worth a visit. Word of advice, you buy the tickets at the zoo not the safari!
Night Safari at Singapore Zoo is amazing experience. They have various items to be watched and you can take the tram to experience the same. I saw some people walked too and walking would make better experience as well. A guide would be in the tram and he/she would explain about all the important things about the animals you see there. All of these animals live in free areas, not in smaller cages. There is a restaurant inside the zoo and you can arrange your dinner as well. Once completed the safari, do not forget to buy a souvenir from the souvenir shops as well
A very unique experience!! Seeing the animals are night is so different. I recommend the tram ride, you get so close to some of them...in touching distance, but do Not touch! Walking in the trails after is quite creepy with all the noises but amazing!! Definitely a must if your in Singapore. (Sorry about the quality of them photos, much better in person)
This includes the tram ride of 40 minutes in the safari & the creatures @ night show. 40 minutes ride through the dense green habitat which is maintained nicely with many animals you can spot through the ride. The show is fantastic & the host makes it really interesting with lots of fun ending with some key messaging. Some good restaurants around for your appetite around makes the evening a great experience. Overall a good experience & a must have point for Singapore itinerary. 6
I think it is safe to say night Safari is the best of the lot. It is better to not waste time waiting for the tram ride. Go ahead and complete the trails. They are all very good. Attend the show. When you are done with them both there shouldn't be any queue for tram ride. The tram ride will captivate your attention for entirely.
Interesting place to visit in Singapore , reach the place on time n enjoy dinner/ snacks at outside area with jungle fire dance . Dancers are experienced n performing with fire well , it really thrilled me . Expect a huge crowd at the place as it is the world's first night Safari well maintained. Ques are too long so we need to wait long for our term to board in to tram . So it is highly recommended that you must accompany your friends n family so that waiting time will pass easily . Once u started Ur journey in jungle we felt really excited. bring your earphone if u wants to enjoy multilingual uninterrupted commentary . As u proceed further get encounter with wild life animals in night time . Different experience u cant imagine without going there . 45 minutes tour excellent for everything . Thereafter we go to night show . It's not much exciting but yes commenter is great so worth watching without paying anything extra . Now time to leave with lifetime memories
One of my favourite place of visit. I just love going to Night Safari with my family and friends. 45 minutes ride in a tram and u get to see lot of Asian and African animals with very informative commentary in Different languages other than English. The park is well maintained. For Indian food lover u have option to eat Indian food just after the exit. Must visit place in Lion city of Singapore.
I recommend starting your journey on the tram, which offers an easy, close-up review of the parks most prominent citizens. Some expert narration is included, providing unique insights and details for each animal. If you’ve ever seen Jurassic Park, the tram evokes some serious nostalgia for those Jeep-borne tour scenes. If you’ve timed it correctly, hop off the tram and enjoy the “Creatures of the Night” performance (last show @21:30), featuring some close-ups of owls, foxes, etc. This is a good one for the kids. With the above complete, all that remains is to strike off into the dark jungle on foot. Several interlocking trails offer amazing views of animals from the Sub-Saharan plains of Africa to the jungles and forests of Southeast Asia. The nocturnal environment offers a truly unique experience and, while some may consider skipping the traditional daytime zoo visit (“I’ve seen it all before.”), the Night Safari is a one-of-a-kind experience that shouldn’t be missed!
Great educational and fun event for kids. Remember to not use cameras (flashes forbidden and without them there is insufficient light anyway). Overall somewhat synthetic but the kids love it! The commentary is great too -- emphasizing the importance of animal conservation and such.
Experience for kids but we were not lucky to see all the animals. Honestly had seen better in terms of animals and visibility. Since we had a package tour so we had little spare time to walk around the safari. It is actually a full day affair. ... do river safari in day with other activities and spend time late till park closes .only than one might be able to see major of attractions.
