The Singapore Art Museum (Abbreviation: SAM) is an art museum is located in the Downtown Core district of Singapore. It is the first fully dedicated contemporary visual arts museum in Singapore with one of the world’s most important public collections by local, Southeast and East Asian artists. It collaborates with international art museums to co-curate contemporary art exhibitions.
SAM presents art across multiple spaces such as Tanjong Pagar Distripark, its heritage buildings and other partner venues across Singapore. The heritage buildings are located at two adjacent sites. The main building, dating back to 1955 is the former Saint Joseph’s Institution on Bras Basah Road; the second building known as the 'SAM at 8Q' was the former Catholic High School on Queen Street. The museum organised the Singapore Biennale in 2011, 2013, 2016, 2019 and will continue to do so in 2022.

The interior of this museum is splendid! Contains varieties of famous artists' artworks, including informative panels for visitors to learn from and some Singaporean art. It is both educational and fun! Useful for helpful school learning journeys as it encourages students to express their emotions through art. Superb, educational and beautiful. Totally recommended to tourists who appreciates great art and would love to learn a bit about Singaporean culture.

The place is very easy to find and near to the mrt station. 1 hour is enough to see it completely. You will find here interesting. Many good spots to take pictures. And there are some places near here with a good view so you must visit all of them too.

Under reconstruction, able to visit into two only expositions in less than two hours. Good time spent to understand the difference between Eastern and Western modern arts.

The architecture is awesome. Just walking around the surroundings and the corridor is an enjoyable experience. The arches, the shadow, the pillars are lovely places for a stroll in the evening. A really meaningful photography spot

Nice place for adults, not for KID because almost everything is being watched and always hearing 'be careful', gentle, etc ... not a recommended place for children even they welcome kids (weird)
