Ivan Meštrović Gallery (Croatian: Galerija Meštrović), is an art museum in Split, Croatia dedicated to the work of the 20th-century sculptor, Ivan Meštrović. The gallery preserves and presents to the public the most significant works of Meštrović, and is in itself an art monument. The permanent collection includes works of sculpture, drawings, design, furniture and architecture. Holdings include original plaster models by the artist, as well as finished works in bronze, marble and wood. The gallery building and grounds were based on original plans by Meštrović himself, and included living and working areas, as well as exhibition spaces.
Not far from the gallery lies Kaštelet-Crikvine, a restored chapel that houses a set of wooden wall panels carved by Ivan Meštrović.

Amazing works in a great location. My only criticism is that many sculptures are mounted on plinths that are too high, many have their faces turned upwards and without being able to look down on them, you miss seeing some incredible work. Short and medium people, take something to stand on 😊

Nice setting. Grounds could do with a tidy up, but its on e hell of a house! Particularly liked the sculptures of Job.

Mestrovic granted this gallery to the city. Definitely worth the visit. Also go to the chapel that is included, you wouldn't be disappointed.

Nice quiet place. Beautiful architechture and sculptures. Nice view of the sea. Not expensive. You can walk there in 40 min from center Split.

Lovely house and view. Interesting sculptures but lacking explanatory detail. We found more about the artist's life from Wiki than the museum. Not alot for your money.

the most wonderful view - a must see in Split! Thank you Mr Meštrović for leaving a priceless heritage to the whole world!

The gardens outside are lush green. Some of the sculptures are really impressive. I suggest getting transport to it from split since it is a good 30 min walk. The ticket price is 40 hrk per adult. Washrooms are available. 4 stars because I'm not a fan of either sculptures or the artist but for a fan of his work this gallery would be astounding.

Interesting gallery. Meštrović is on of the greatest Croatian sculptors. Worth visiting! Surroundings are lovely as well, nice part of city for a calm walk. When you buy the entry ticket for the gallery, entry to crkvine Kaštilac is also included (small church across the road approximately 200 m away)

Gorgeous setting, and some very expressive pieces. No parking to speak of, though. Also, Mestrovic was apparently a real jerk in life, which taints the visit somewhat.

Really nice museum, Mestrovic was an impressive sculptor and his work is perfectly exhibited in this gallery. Don't miss the outside statues and follow the guide!

Beautiful gallery showcasing the work of Croatia's most important sculptor. Bring your own guidebook as no audioguide is available. Grounds are lovely, includes admission to chapel. Well worth a visit.

Magnificent museum overlooking the sea. Mestrovics sculptures in all their glory. Very peaceful time walking round, inside and in the gardens.

I really appreciated the structure of the museum, and I loved the sculptures. Nevertheless, the lady who sold me the ticket was really not welcoming and not willing to give me the student price although I had a justificative for it... I really had to insist to get it... Fortunately the one who was inside the museum was very nice and helpful.
