Excellent location. Car park is a bit of a trek.
Beautiful marsh lands with plenty of wild life to see. Right next to M6, but you wouldn't know it. Take your own picnic, but please make sure to take your rubbish home with you. Have a great day!
Lovely urban wetland nature reserve in Stafford. There ia a small amount of free parking and note there are no facilities here apart from a few hides. But the range of wildlife you can see is impressive. When we visited it was a guide tour will a super knowledgeable local expert. So this really gave us an insight it to the potential species we could see here. Well worth a visit you can see the main railway line and the M6 but it still has a countryside feel.
Its wet and muddy with some ducks. Don't waste your time
Great place to see wildlife and just a short walk from Stafford Town Centre, worth visiting any time of year I prefer it there in Winter.
Good for dog walking and bird watching if thats your thing
Lovely peaceful places to escape from the world, Definitely one of the best places to go for a nature walk in Staffordshire. Great Birdwatching and also Train Spotting. Although my preferred hobby is Photography which Doxey Marshes is utterly stunning for from wonderful wildlife photos of Herons, Swans, Egrets and a huge range of other birds as well as some amazing photos of trains too as a couple of months ago I managed to snap The Flying Scotsman as it went Steaming Southbound. It's a good place to bring your kids or your dog for a nice long peaceful walk.
Really lovely place very close to Stafford centre. Nice for a walk with the children and dogs. There are two open little house where you can stop and watch the birds or have a break.
