I love the castle and especially the guided tours. The guides are more than great, I joined the tour 4 times and they always have new stuff to tell! I'd love the guided tours to take longer than just 45/60min!

Great place, the architecture is very well preserved and it has very Renaissance/Victorian like structures and buildings. The museum also plays a vital role, acting as a visereal imagery of what the contents of the interior would have looked like. This brings in elements of lively emotions and social atmosphere of the times of old. It also displays cultural context well enough to show the longevity and preserved culture that the Swedes possess. I found the experience very impacting and I was truly amazed by the content(s) of the palace. The customer service was good. Very friendly workers and staff. The tour guide also explained and described everything in great depth. The demonstrations conducted by the Royal guards outside the courtyard were also superb. Like I said great place, definitely a place worth visiting.

Takes aprox 2h to complete all 3 museums. 1. The history of Sweden and the castle 2. The rooms in the palace 3. The crowns and jewels We had the museum to ourselves the day we went, which was amazing. :)

Furst of all I was surprised there was no security check to get in. Once inside some of the rooms were in a bit of a mess but overall we enjoyed our visit. We were lucky that it was not at all busy. There were some beautiful furnishings, some lovely silver and porcelain as well.as an array of medals and other decorations.

This iconic palace is a must visit on your Scandinavian tour. Love the water view from the opposite side. Just beautiful

The castle isn't the thing. It's the surrounding area that is the thing. Look around. Feel good. Water. Fresh air. It's not so bad. Life.

Half of palace is a real royalty place and half is a museum. Dinning table which has 75 chairs from one side, full table capacity is 150 guests for supper. Royal library, rooms, art, crystal chandeliers, porcelain dishes. Real guards around palace is interesting to watch. Beautiful old cathedral. So much to learn about Swedish royalty.

Royal palace is worth a visit. It is nicely maintained to reflect the ancient glory of the royal family and the royal way of living. With the palace is attached the Treasury and armory which are also worth a visit. Ancient royal crowns and other high value objectd are for display in the Treasury section. Armory is another section which displays the weapons used in ancient times. Royal palace has a entry fee of around 16-17 euros which include the Treasury visit. Armory section has a free entry.

One of the more spectacular royal residences that I have ever seen. And the crown jewels are amazing! Well worth the ticket price but make sure you have plenty of time.

A stunningly beautiful palace with lots of art, jewelry and history, after a few minutes its kind of repetitive (dinning chamber of the queen... Dinning chamber of the the guests... And so on and so on..) A nice spot to check out, don't delay there too much

Fantastic and a must see if in Stockholm, it costs roughly 160 skr each but you get to visit the royal apartments/guest apartments, the treasury and the museum. Really easy to get to as it is sign posted around the old town. You can go on a guided tour in your language if you want or you can purchase a headset to be told more information about parts .. or you can simply walk around at your leisure. If you time it right you can watch the changing of the guards outside the royal palace too. Staff where very friendly and all spoke fluent English, you have all day to visit the 3 parts as they just tick off which attraction you are visiting on your ticket.

It felt good that at least we got to visit “The Palace “ and saw a glimpse of how Swedish royal life may be like from inside. We had a great experience walking around inside the palace and the places outside the palace was also very beautiful.

Beautiful place to sit and enjoy the view. Occasionally you'll also get to see some royal guards patrolling around the palace and Swedish military soldiers in training around the streets.

Great place to spend 1/2 a day. one ticket gets you into to four unique areas of the palace. Overall, the apartments were the most interesting and had the most exhibits.

The ticket is great value, with four parts of the palace included. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The audio guides provided a perfect amount of information that enabled me to get a sense of the history, without overwhelming detail. It was an ideal activity for my last day, not least because the lockers are large enough to store hand-luggage for a refundable SEK 10.

Tickets allow you to have 1 week access. Lots of reading which is interesting, and the artifacts are great to look at. Remember to visit the Royal Chapel, really beautiful there. Tip: Free toilets here. (Hard to find toilets in Stockholm)

A must-see in Stockholm - the chandelier-lit chambers of the royal family are really spectacular, reminiscing on the times of Sweden being the undisputed ruler of the northern Europe. Treasury showing all the crowns of various monarchs in the past 5 centuries is also beautiful. Same applies to the collection of statues.
Jan ChloubaJuni 10, 2018
The treasury with the crown jewels is quite interesting. The royal apartments are great if you like to see all the silly awards and medals royals give each other. Changing of the guards was a ceremony worth your time.

This place was amazing. The history and the architecture was definitely worth the visit. Catch a tour around the city on the hop on hop off tour buses and make sure that you get off here. After 4pm they close to the public so get it in as early as possible to make sure you have time to take your time walking through the free public museums

Really nice there and highly recommended of you're in Stockholm! We took the royal Appartment guided tour and like it a lot. Really good information and some little jokes every now and than made it enjoyable. The rooms and the uniforms and different orders and medals are impressive. Honestly I didn't expect this, cause I'm not that interested in royals and things like that. But even if you're not into that topics it's really interesting so give it a shot. The crown museum and the royal Treasury Finish the experience

When visiting other countries I always tried to go to palaces or related places. This one was no exception. The palace itself was beautiful and it was a lovely day to see it despite being up a large hill which might make it more difficult to access via the main driveway for those with disabilities. I believe you can however go around the side via the road. The guards here are friendly and will allow children to walk up to them and pose for pictures, all while maintaining composure like you'd expect from a palace guard.
