Great little park for the kids to run free pond to fish if that’s your cuppa tea skating ring and just a great place to be in the sunshine
Nice place with a lot of restoration carried out in the last couple of decades... Very peaceful ✌️
Lovely park that has changed beyond recognition regarding religions and tolerances towards dogs in particular. I’ve walked my dog for years there, and now you get people acting in bizarre ways and totally over exaggerating whilst walking past. Ive had a man threaten me that if my dog touches him he will take my head off because he has to go to the mosque in these clothes. The filthy looks I get from Muslim families for walking my dog past them is foul. I truly feel I have to apologise for their unfounded fear or loathing of dogs.
historic park close to town centre. Boating lake with fishing and playgrounds for children. There is a roller skating rink and regular 5K park runs.
Had a lovely time there. Saw lots of different nature and wildlife. And people. The children were just being little individuals and learning about life.
Pretty place to have a walk, rollerskating rink is fun to socialize and have a day out, also the swan boats and duck feeding as a date is amazing here
What a fantastic park. We had a walk round in the February sunshine. Our boys aged 8 and 11 loved the playgrounds and we all enjoyed seeing the squirrels.
Nice open park to enjoy within the town. Clean and tidy today with quite a few people walking about even with the rain.
Serene, beautiful, historic.... I love this park. Facilities on site by the lake, open most days. Sell food and drinks too!
Used to be a lovely place to visit, it used to have skating rink, steam train, putting green, proper swings and slides and decent rowing boats at pocket money prices with change for an ice-cream I came from a poor family and didn't get a great deal of pocket money but I used to be able to afford the boats and the skating and still have money for a drink and a snack. I never feel comfortable here especially as it has become more 'international', you can almost feel the tension. This is only my o opinion of course.
