I love this place. It’s one of the nice places here in Sudbury. We got the yearly passes last year And the kids love it. They enjoy the forth floor with all the invention and technology and like to play mine craft of the computers. The third floor is also fun with some precious animals including a beaver and a skank. Second floor has bugs and scorpions, bats and butterflies. Some of them you can hold and take a photo. You also get to taste some fried bugs if you hose to. The cafeteria doesn’t have too many options but we like the fries and onion rings. I would recommend it.
Drove 4 hours and was pleased. Really liked how the setup is. The shows were great. The experiments done were great to watch. The explanation was good. The stage were this was done was well thought out. The nature area was better than I thought it would be. Live shows and lots of insects to see and maybe touch. There were lots of staff and they were very friendly. Lots of hands on things. Overall, wasn't disappointed. Would take a day if you did everything and didn't rushed. You could probably squeeze this into 5 hours of you rushed... But you wouldn't have add much fun.
I drove for 8 hours from St . Thomas though the smell of horse poo, diesel and other things, for this.... a awesome museum with scenic views of the lake! 4 floors of Awesome entertainment for kids and adults! Offers food, I think daycare, after school activities, cool gift shop, beautiful nature soroundings and beautiful view of the lake great for taking pictures and so much more! It was hard for me to leave, 100/10, totally recommend for solo or family vacation.
I love how the building was built into the landscape. Lots of different animals and all of the information provided was concise but well laid out. Great place for younger kids, not so much for older ones. I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more chemistry and physics based exhibits but all in all I had a great visit. Also there were numerous bathrooms on each floor.
Shows here were great, staff were friendly, the facilities were well maintained. Lots of hands on exhibits for children and adults as well. Facilities were modern and up to date.
This great place to bring children. My son loved the beaver, porcupine and snake. The food was reasonably priced and my son loved the gift store.
It's a awesome place to go for a family trip or for something to do. It is also a great place for children to learn about things but it's fun and active.
I loved going here as a child and I still do as an adult, lots of things to see and learn! Great place :)
We thoroughly enjoyed Science North. To be honest at the first floor (rocks and bugs) I was a little unsure how it was all going to go but by the second my kids were sold on the animals and reptiles. During our visit to the third floor my kids and myself were all actively engaged in a variety of activities. The centre itself had so much going on that we could not get to everything in our visit.
Unfortunately have to give this place 1 Star. We just visited yesterday and spent $28 each for a very mediocre experience. The staff at the different exhibits mostly ignored us. None offered guidance or information. The butterfly exhibit was very disappointing. All the butterflies were at the top of the exhibit and only two were flying around close enough to get a look at. Not much happening anywhere else. I understand it might be off season, but to pay that much and have such a boring, uneventful experience. 3 of us attended and all agreed it wasn't nearly worth the money.
Great place to visit, as attraction, well your staying in Sudbury Ontario. I found the staff to be helpful and very knowledgeable about the atractions. The attractions included various theatres, including the IMAX, other attractions included, the pre school area, perfect introduction for young children to learn about science. And the world around us. The entrance way to the science center was a man-made mining tunnel, with cool light effects. There are multiple levels including a bug and fossil station. If you ask the staff you can hold various creatures and try eating bugs. There is a really cool butterfly conservatory, where you see butterflys and exotic moths and bird's flying around. Next level is a natural parks area with various animals from a beaver and porcupine and bats various speicies of snakes including the notorious Mississauga rattle snake, bats, frogs, fish turtles. Level 4 and 5 are the Science and technology areas, ranging from space and flight to sound production and radio broadcasting, Science Labs, cool race track, and human sciences. Great place for children ages 1 to 125 years of age. I look forward to returning in the future.
I have always loved going to Science North as a child and continue to enjoy it as an adult. It is always a fun filled day, learning and exploring. I recently brought my six-year-old nephew for the first time and he absolutely loved it! He still talks about how he got to touch a tarantula and hold a giant snail! I love the hands-on/interactive aspects of everything as it makes learning fun and interesting. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Cost: not cheap (2adults and 5year old just for museum cost about $88-90). Facility: clean Food: not so good Staff: “blue coats” are really enthusiastic, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Just awesome! Overall: we (2adults and 5year old) spend about 3hrs. We were tired but didn’t finish all. Need at least 2-3 more hours to complete everything. This facility is very good at making every aspect of science education fun for kids. My 5year old enjoyed there so much. If weekend, recommend going early in a day so you can touch animals and learn from blue-coat people without congestion. Have fun!
Had a great time there. Various sections (human anatomy and physiology, animal section, butterfly and insects, astrology, and a little bit about local environment... ) well cover visitors' different interest area. A fin whale's bone hanging from the roof is a WOW... Participated the flying squirrel show. The show was brief but the instructor made the knowledge easy to comprehend and remember. Make sure you won't miss it. Staffs are friendly and available everywhere to share their knowledge and passion.
i'd give them 10 stars if i could!!! amazing time spent there! staff very friendly and willing to spend some time explaining things, especially the electricity guy (sorry i dont know his name) thought me a few very useful things thank you will more than likely end up going there again
Great museum! Kept my boyfriend and I busy for a while! Learned lots :)
