Beautiful views, lots of fun activities for kids, big water play Park and playground. Take away food, restaurants suitable for all ages, close to transport ( light rail) fairy car park. Lots of things to do and places of interest to visit. Wheelchair ♿ accessible.
A good place to spend quality time with family. You have good number of food options plus a good view of the harbour. I also used to enjoy my time at darling harbour sipping Starbucks coffee, however that place is now demolished to build apartment units. You may also find some street performance around. They have started peddle boats so one hire one. Just behind it is a very nice kids play area and also has water play
Darling Harbour is a very nice place to hang out and enjoy some good time. You can choose from eating or drink to an amazing Ferris wheel ride, always enjoying the beautiful views of the harbour and the nice restaurants in the area. A great kids playground completes the place leaving adults with a bit more time to relax
Nice spot, lots of public space to enjoy. Everything close to it costs an arm and a leg but they are probably paying an absurd amount in shop leasing so I guess it's fine. There is better food and bars around the Universities for a much lower cost though so if you don't have to eat or drink here, don't eat or drink here.
Darling harbour is always one of the best place to visit when you just want to take a walk and not knowing where to go. The refurbished playground before ICC is a good place for families with kids. Although the regular firework has ended last year, there's still a lot to see for various events.
It was fun, has some new structures over the last 6-12 months, i love the Chinese Garden of Friendship, love the water and the shopping centre. I love the little water areas where kids can play and the big play areas. I love the amount of open space too. There’s a McDonald’s for anyone wanting that and some more new stuff being built still. Very excited to see what it is!
Between Darling Harbour and Darling Quarter the is a fun water feature for kids to play. Plenty of places for parents to sit a relax and plenty of food outlets. The playground is so interesting for kids and the water feature is entertaining and educational. If you have kids needing some entertaining this is the place to head for. Make sure you bring a change of clothes because they will get wet and they will have lots of fun.
I celebrated my birthday with my friends at a Belgium Cafe here. I really like the customer service there and they even gave us complimentary drinks. This is a nice place for families and a great place to celebrate a birthday. Darling Harbour is well designed and very easy to get back to the city. Light rail trams run on a regular basis. 😄😊
We had a lovely night out here. There's ongoing construction at the southern end. However this doesn't make it any less scenic. Ferries are a great way to see the beauty of the city from the water and they stop in darling harbour frequently.
Sydney is a very fast pace city. But when you come down here at dawn it feels like city kind of stopped. People are having drinks, just chilling at this harbour. It's blissful when you work the whole day, and come here to grab a drink. So many good, drinks options. With live music, lounge or even club music. One of the best places to visit in Sydney!

With the new ICC, this place looks amazing. Nice, vibrant feel at nighttime, but also relaxing - with kids and adults alike running around on the water features. Cute beach chairs are built in to the sides as well. Great atmosphere.
This is loaded with fun, you can eat, drink, ferry ride, visit sea life aquarium. It's a lively place always full with tourist. There is so much to do for every age group so go with ample time to enjoy. One can go for camping to Cockatoo island for camping or just take a ferry ride to Circular Quay and enjoy passing under the Sydney Harbour bridge and famous Opera house.
Great place to visit. Had my 5 year old grandson for his first visit to the big city (we live up the north coast) was so surprised how easy public transport was to use. Darling harbour was so much fun and having all the grassed areas to eat lunch was fantastic and the free playground was a big hit.
Went the over through the weekend for vivid lighting. It's it's so beautiful. Very family orientated and the only place in Sydney whereby the kids have freedom to run and play. There is a big park over there but the only negative Is there is only only 4 swings in total. Beautiful atmosphere and child friendly.
Absolute delicious! Great view of Darling Harbour. The service was great. We got a fabulous table where we could see the Vivid light. Taking into account we didn't book, they were very accommodating.
Lovely scenic area in sydney with great water views surrounded by tall buildings. Easily walkable around the whole area, and so much to see. Many shops and eateries to cater for all tastes and budgets. One of the many sites in the city for the vivid light show held here in may.
Activity centre , reachable by bus trains. It's wheelchair friendly. Nice place to bring family and friends for spending time and the harbour. In the night there a light show at the waterfront. Children and adult can have a nice time here. There are plenty of activites, must visit if your are visiting Sydney.
A beautiful waterside spot which is popular with both locals and tourists in Sydney. There is a vast variety of restaurants, cafes, bars and clubs to keep everyone happy. You will also find a little shopping centre with a food court, bowling, laser tag, a flight simulator and even Hard Rock Cafe, Sea Life Aquarium, Wild Life World and Madame Taussauds.
A must go if you come to Sydney. Come and appreciate the iconic architectural design of Sydney Opera House. It’s also great to shoot a few photos and perhaps have a drink / dinner at the pub with friends and family. Other than that, unless you are really keen to take one step further and enjoy opera shows, there’s probably nothing else you can do there.
Awesome place for having a good time with family or friends. Lots of harbour side restaurants available and a great mall as well. The ships outside the maritime museum are stunning. The Sydney skyscrapers view looks pretty cool from here in the light of setting sun and of course it looks awesome at night. Park is also here for kids to have a great time. Overall wonderful place for enjoyment even with less burden on wallet.
A enjoyable place with a lovely atmosphere. I felt safe walking around at night with lots of families enjoying the space and restaurants. Enjoyed the shopping too. The Harbour Mall had some unique and healthy food options in the food court.
Great place, set out well overlooking the water. Nice boardwalk to meander along. Gets pretty busy even at night though. Is nice to see street performers doing their thing though.
Visited the ICC Theatre to see the Symphonic Star Wars Performance.... The ICC venue is as great as the show. Holds 5000 people and very easy to get around. Great new Sydney venue.
One of the best places I have been to. Been here thrice and come again n again. Try n visit in the afternoon, enjoy happy hours in the bars and restaurants( usually till 6) and then enjoy the view in the evening.
