A beautifully kept park. It's extremely big for a park in the middle of a big city like Taipei and you can walk around it for quite a while. I really enjoyed watching people feed squirrels, ducks, and other birds around the park. There is also a great area for children to go rollerblading and a huge sand pit. Lots of benches to sit and relax.

I visited here during a not suitable period. Which was winter, thus the view was dull. However, it was still worth to come as it is free to enter and it is a public place good for a walk and jog. A very large water dam and it is good to hike up yhe observatory platform to have a wide view of the whole park.

Really nice pond with many birds and fish. Generally well kept and clean. Nice place to get away from the city noise and smog

Daan forest park is surprisingly large and convenient. Of the 3 times I've been there there has been live music twice in the bandstand near the center. They have frequent markets selling fruit and interesting goodies. If you want to go for a run there a several paths than are intertwined, so you will never be stuck behind anyone. There is lots of green grass and open spaces, and even a basketball court if you want to play. You are never far from an exit where there are plenty of 711's and several youbike stations.

A really peaceful, expansive space to visit. Especially serene during winter, or when it's raining and the crowds are driven away. Head to the middle and leave the sound of the city behind.

The place is large. The place become more beautiful on vacation days. So many people comes every day. The atmosphere is awesome lots of flowers trees. It make you feel that you are in forest. I like the place very much. Best place to bring your kids. They can run play enough place for them. You can place a small tent to protect your in day time during summer, and can enjoy a lot for sure.

Had a wonderful weekend spent here with my kid running around seeing birds, ducks, squirrels and we even had a chance to get up close with the squirrels to feed them with food. There's a huge playground and sandpit which children would definitely love coming over here to spend the day. Highly recommended place for picnic, stroll in the park.

The park has several nice areas. The pond is inhabited by different birds, such as stark. There's also turtles. Overall, pleasant experience.

The kid's playground is very nice... had my 5 yr old get exhausted there for an hour of playing. Unfortunately my kid got bullied in the sandbox by a local kid while the mom just looked. Another local dad grabbed my son from the collar as he was climbing up the net ladder because he wanted his toddler to climb up first... wasnt able to do a thing due to language barrier and us being the tourists

Good place to take a run, whether along the paths within the park, or around its perimeter. However, the park is relatively small - although not tiny - so you'll always be aware of the urban pollution driving into your lungs. A better recommendation is to run the cycle paths along the rivers. These are invariably really nice - whether down towards Wanlong, or up, around, and towards Songshan Night Market and beyond. These are free of pollution and especially along the latter course quite breezy, plus you might catch some interesting urban graffiti, or sight some rowers out training along the river. You can manage 9 miles quite easily next to the water without any fear of getting lost.

Nice place to take a calming walk or to do some exercise from jogging to roller-blading (there is a roller-blade rink). On may, there are some places in the park that will be visited by the lovely firefly. You should try it sometimes to take a break from the busy-city life.

Nice and relaxing park in Daan district. It overs a wide variety of activities, like skating, basketball, playground and "taichi"-like health equipement. There is also a Nice pond near the big amphitheater where local plays are often performed. Take a trip here if u need a rest from the busy City :)

The breathing lung of Taipei located in the middle of the city. The park is well connected through metro and public transportation. The northern part has several kids playgrounds, skating yard and more. The park is also a host of many activities and parties. There are lots of nearby restaurants and services around.
