The Miniatures Museum of Taiwan (Chinese: 袖珍博物館; pinyin: Xiùzhēn Bówùguǎn)is the first museum to collect miniatures in Asia. The museum was founded on March 28, 1997, by Mr. Lin Wen-ren and his wife. It is located in Zhongshan District, Taipei, Taiwan.
Mr. Lin and his wife enjoyed buying little houses and toy cars for their children while traveling for business purposes. While in The Netherlands, they discovered miniature art and were deeply attracted. They began buying accessories, furniture, and assembled miniature houses. At the same time, the couple participated in auctions and joined international miniature art associations. They began planning their museum in 1993.
Love love love loved this place, one of the highlights of my visit to Taipe. If your a fan of miniatures this is a good place to go. Spent about 3hours here, the entrance fee was worth it. Place a bit small, they probably could improve on lighting so you could take more decent pictures :) remember no flash please. They also have a gift shop after the museum selling some miniature items. A very good visit.

Located in a basement of an office tower. Occupying the whole basement. Collections are not vast but still interestingly curated (great details). My friends and I enjoyed our time there. If you are into miniatures or dollhouses, this is the place not to missed in Taiwan.

Really amazing museum! Was impressed with the varied collection and representations of miniatures from real world buildings like the Buckingham Palace, period as well as fantasy miniatures. Enjoyed my visit here. The detailed interiors are stunning as well.

What a surprising little treat. Worth the visit to fall down the rabbit hole of miniatures and get lost in these little worlds. Though the museum is small, the pieces on display are quite extraordinary. Many have English descriptions which help add a bit of character and context for English-speaking visitors. The gift shop has a variety of items, including unique gift cards, perfect for travelers who don't want to send something special home.

Cool and impressive models but it's relatively small size means you could probably finish it in 25 minutes. Take your time and it's a comfortable hours worth of stuff! 200NT entry for adults. English signs on most of the dioramas.

Such a fun experience! My wife loves all things miniature and this museum couldn’t have been more perfect for her interests. We spent about two hours looking at all the displays and reading the signage (mostly in English). There were displays featuring various houses, some Disney movies, and some historic buildings, so it felt fresh throughout the museum. If you like this kind of art, this is a good stop to make.
