I love this place. It's one of the more down-home night markets in Taipei, so not as big of a selection as something like Shida or Tonghua, but it is lovely nonetheless. My favorite spots: Bull Demon King steak house (牛魔王), Tea Tank bubble tea, stinky tofu, meat skewers, Banana Crepes, Pineapple Bread (菠蘿包), Taiwanese popcorn chicken (鹽酥雞) and fried squid. Definitely worth going, if you haven't been yet!
This is my favorite night market in Taipei. It offers a great selection of delicious food, numerous boutiques with creative Taiwanese fashion, and a collection of some of the best cafés in town. At the same time, Shida Night Market doesn't feel overwhelming. Try to visit it on a weeknight, when the lanes are less crowded. Definitely a must visit place if you are in Taipei!
Nice atmosphere, not packed to the rafters with people which is GREAT!! No pressure selling from vendors. 60-70% young hipsterish fashion stores and rest made up various food stalls selling popular local eats you will find through out Taipei in one location. It's not as big as some of the others night markets but is quite unique.
A small nightmarket with a youthful vibe. Its speciality is clothes and accessories. The food is also good, and features a variety of foreign options in addition to the standard Taiwanese fair, albeit at much higher prices.
Agree with other reviews. A very youngsters’ night market. The shops sell trendy stuff. Eat delicious local food. Eat while you shop and not too crowded to feel excited!
It’s the night market in my neighbourhood so I’m literally here all the time! There’s a good amount of food selection so I don’t have to worry about starving though I’ve heard in the past there was a lot more selection. Compared to other night markets, this is considered quite small, you can walk through the whole night market within 40min - 1 hour. Lots of boba shops and fruit juice shops, which I like. Shida is primarily known for its large number of clothing shops, which you can find the lasted Korean/Taiwanese fashion at pretty reasonable prices!
Decent night market. Less focused on food and more on (Korean) clothing. A lot of students (obviously) and a nice vibe. Can get very crowded as most night markets. For food I would recommend one of the less popular/more local night markets.
One of my favourite night markets. Lots of hidden tea and coffee places. Nice crowd. Not too many food options..
Great place for a wide variety of tea, food n clothes. Targeted at young adult. A great stationary store that is a must visit spot in shida night market.
Rather quiet for a night market... Plenty of little clothing shops catering to the undergrad crowd (probably the local population), but prices are not exceptionally cheap and quality was rather mediocre (blame Taobao)... Quite a good variety of food, with a decent quality - which was the saving grace.
