A very different experience from anything you can do in the city. It's a must to visit this amazing building! Thee views of the city are breath taking. Wish that I got to enjoy it a bit longer before the clouds hid the city from sight.

A must see attraction within the city. The entrance fee is quite high but seeing every corner of the city from the top floor is an out of body experience. They even have an outdoor observation deck although it's a small roped off section however the glass observatory on the lower level offers 360 degree views. The shop below is overpriced however it's cool to see artifacts with million dollar asking prices.

Expect lots and lots of people. Queue to buy tickets and catching the lifts both up and down so you will need at least 2 hours to visit. You can beat one queue by buying the ticket online through their website (24 hours in advance) or with other operators such as KKday or klook. The lift which takes you from level 5 to level 89 is on Guinness book of record of the fastest lift in the world but they don't really travel at full speed during our visit. Still very fast. Try visit very early for sunrise or evening for sunset.

Very clean and easy to understand where you are going. The view from up here gives an excellent perspective of Taipei. They even have their massive wind damper open for viewing and you can watch it in action. they have and outside viewing area that can be roped off if the wind is too strong. You can buy souvenirs and post cards at the observation deck as well. They even have a mail box to drop the post card off in.

Great experience! The elevator it’s incredible fast, and the views of the city are also fantastic. The price it’s not cheap but it’s an experience needed. For going down, you have to pass through stores and stores...very beautiful building!

NOTE: This review is for the observatory. The building/shopping overall is a 4.5/5. Definitely a tourist trap. While the architecture of the building is spectacular, and the civil engineering internally to prevent the building from swaying is amazing, there is really nothing to see. You can definitely SKIP seeing the Taipei 101 and not feel left out. If you have extreme FOMO, which is how they capitalize, then you likely will go. However, we went up, walked around for 30 minutes, and then left. Also, if it is windy, they will close the outside portion (which was a shame). They will also make you walk through a ton of shops to try to sell you Coral which they are stating is rare, but I highly doubt it. A bit nuts that they are trying to do so. You're better off going to the free Elephant Mountain and seeing all of Taipei. Save your $15-$20 USD and time.

Tall building. Was cool to see the view of this very iconic building. I do however think they charge too much to go up and when you get up there the only way down is walking through extremely pricey jewelry shops that hassle you to buy stuff..

Unfortunately Taipei doesn’t offer any interesting views when looking down from 101, you are standing inside the best building in Taipei. The buildings surrounding are all low rise, old, square and unappealing. It may be of interest for people who have never been up so high, but the view is quite bland. Also the fee is around 500 ntd per ticket.

good experience. quite pricy since it’s mainly a tourist attraction. you can get a Taipei Fun Pass - Unlimited that covers the entrance fee. the view is great up here, a few glass panels are a bit dirty but it’s forgivable since they also have an upper floor to access and outdoor view. great for sunset gazing. I found how they make the fast elevator and the damper marketable things very clever and interesting. drinks up here are obviously super overpriced. the souvenir shop do offer some cool stuff, although of course costly as well.

Touristy but fun. This is a good place to visit if you want to get a good view of Taipei on a clear day (unfortunately it was cloudy the day we went but we still had a good view but no sunset.) It can get Pretty busy around sunset time so plan your trip to ensure you are in the slot to be up there when it's time for the sunset. There is a stunning Jade shop\museum there which is a must visit

Expensive but worth it. You can spend as long as you want looking around and there are nice places to sit. Good information provided about the building and history, lots of interesting details. The food places here are typical tourist traps and extremely expensive. The big negative is that to get the elevator out you have to walk through the sales area where there are displays of coral statues, jewelry and trinkets. The staff weren't aggressive but it was surprising that you couldn't just leave.

once the tallest building on earth, the 101 was also the holder of the fastest elevator. the sights are as expected. what is unique about the 101 taipei is the unique open damper system that is open for public viewing. A tuned mass damper, also known as a harmonic absorber or seismic damper, is a device mounted in structures to reduce the amplitude of mechanical vibrations. in essence it helps the building to counteract any wind force or seismic movements to maintain the integrity of the building.

it was nice and cool. bring a jacket if you get cold easily. many things to see and you can stay as long as you want. be prepared to spend money, if you're the type to buy souvenirs. the informational media available was interesting and intuitive, giving everyone a good chance to learn and take home some new knowledge from the experience. overall great place, would definitely recommend.

A mesmerising view of the Taipei City. The Taipei 101 is an engineering marvel, and must have been a challenge to build a structure like this in a country experiencing seismic activity. The building is centrally located, approach is fantastic, and one can reach this place in no time. Visitors need to buy tickets and wait for the entry which is crowded most of the time. Elevators are fast, real quick and reach observatory in less than half a minute. Once you reach the observatory, the solid steel ball installed there can be seen, being used as a seismic damping device, or a balancing device, it definitely is an engineering innovation worth seeing. Observatory is placed strategically, offering view of the entire city, sometimes it does make you nervous when strong winds lash the building and it always gives a feeling of shocks or tremors, but finally, it is all rewarding, and the experience is majestic.

Taipei 101 is a must visit place as a first time tourist. The observatory is served with (one of) the fastest lifts in the world. It gets you up the 101 floors or 340 meter tower in just over 30 seconds, reaching a speed of over 1000 meters a minute on the way up. The observatory, obviously high enough, provides beautiful views over the city of Taipei which can be seen in nearly all it's intirety. Views to all corners and large panoramic windows make for easy photography. On the inside there's a few shops and the buildings stability system to view as well. This large metal ball, or tuned mass damper, is suspended from big cables and has big shocks to counter earthquakes and typhoon swaying. Glad we did not see it in action much besides on video. All in all a great visit and well worth the 600 twd

If you have the need to see a cool building, you are not afraid of heights, in for a treat and love really big stuff... go see Taipei 101. I’ve never been to a building in the top 10 of the worlds tallest and this was an education. The price, not bad but not cheap. The experience, very memorable for me, the wife and the two teens. Sweet snacks and beer with mango ice cream is at the top. I took a time lapse outside on the outer deck and it was not an issue. I’ll make this a stop on future visits to Taiwan.

Cool building with a nice view. Though it's like any other tall touristy building in the world. I would have given it a better rating but it's too commercialized between the 'wind damper mascots' and the coral jewellery exhibit you have to walk through on the way out. Not a must see in Taipei.

This is Taiwanese proud building and this is my first skyscrapers I've ever been. From the highest floor we can see whole Taipei city. The highest floor that visitor can go is 88. It takes 40 seconds from ground floor to the highest floor. It's great building since more than 100 times earthquake occur every year in Taiwan. If you are in Taipei you should come to this building. It's only 500 Taiwan dollars (NTD).

風景很好，可惜觀光客越來越多，票價也越來越貴。建議是白天晴天去，最好接近中午，才能觀賞每個方向，晚上只看得到燈。Beautiful view, its better to go during daytime while sunny, go there at noon if you want to see all directions, you can't really see much at night. People who didn't like it probably went at wrong time. Unfortunately tickets got a lot more expensive in recent years, also a lot more tourists so the line may be long.
