Talerddig is a village in Powys, mid Wales, located on the main A470 road between Llanbrynmair and Carno. It is part of Llanbrynmair community.
Although the village no longer has a railway station, it is on the route of the 1863 constructed Newtown and Machynlleth Railway. The route passes through Talerddig cutting, a significant civil engineering achievement of the 1860s being 120 feet (37 m) deep and cut through solid rock, and the deepest in the world at the time of its completion in 1862.
