Beautiful location in the centre of Tallinn. Nice winding streets in the neighbourhood with a few quaint photo opportunities. Food and drink prices are more typical of Western European locations than perhaps would be expected in the region, but it doesn't feel like a tourist trap and the quality is good. Local dishes are easy to find, but they are typically meat-centred, so there is a limited range for vegetarians, and vegans will be quite hard pushed to find options. If you are a meat eater then there are plenty of tasty traditional options to try here. It's not a location for a wild night out, but it is a nice relaxed area with a feeling of traditional Europe overlaid with modern conveniences.

Great place in Tallinn, the heart of the world heritage Tallinn Old Town. When there, all the paths kind of lead you there. Medieval architecture around it is noticeable. Restaurants surround the place, with great terraces in the summertime. Prices are often somewhat higher than outside the center but still reasonable. Home for Tallinn Christmas Market. Definitely number one place to visit in Tallinn.

Nice place in every season...in summer; summer market on Wednesday's...in winter Christmas market... Lots of cafes and restaurants; sometime artists perform... I love to sit on one of the outdoors cafes and look at people and 'life'. All of Old Town is amazing btw ♡

Lovely big square with lots of restaurants around the edge. Looks great at Xmas 🎄 with huge tree in centre and lots of market stalls

It's a historic monument, which is the most popular one. It has a couple 'attractions' and old corner shops around the area, with a couple of restaurants. A great place to have a meal or walk around.

The center and heart of Tallinn, amazing place that is a must for every visitor to this city. Located in the old district of the city and surrounded by colorful medieval buildings. Here you'll find live shows, restaurants, souvenir shops, museums and more.

Must see place if you are visiting Tallinn. I love the square and all of the medieval buildings you can see there. The restaurants in the square can be quite over priced so avoid those if you want to save money. Every Sunday they have an outdoor market in the square where people sell souvenirs and other interesting things. It’s also fun to walk though at night or early morning as for me it gives the feeling of traveling back in time.

It's like a center of Old Town Tallinn as well as a MUST visit when you visit Tallinn. You can find all other famous spots from here, and the restaurants in this square offer great food, expensive though. ^^; There might be bigger or better old town squares than this one in other European countries, but I really liked this place that keeps its own unique atmosphere. I'd like to visit this square again with my family in the winter time to see X-MAS market.

Delightful town square. Ongoing market place with restaurants on the periphery. Prices were very reasonable.

Great venue, great prices, great pizza! The 32cm is thick enough that you can share it between 2 people as a filling meal

A lovely old medieval square where you can chill out and relax with plenty of restaurants at hand. The old buildings are amazing and you can walk from here to some lovely view points. We only had a few hours here but would love a short break here to take in an evening, magical place.
