The Tallinn Town Hall (Estonian: Tallinna raekoda) is a building in the Old Town (Vanalinn) of Tallinn (Reval), Estonia, next to the Town Hall Square. The building is located in the south side of the medieval market square and is 36.8 metres (121Â ft) long. The west wall is 14.5 metres (48Â ft) in length, and the east is 15.2 metres (50Â ft). It is a two-storey building with a spacious basement. It is the oldest town hall in the whole Baltic Sea region and Scandinavia.
The weather vane "Old Thomas" (Estonian: Vana Toomas) on the top of the town hall's spire, that has been there since 1530, is one of the symbols of Tallinn. The height of the tower is 64 metres. Tallinn Town Hall is located on the Town Hall Square, where the streets Kullassepa street, Dunkri street and Vanaturu kael lead. One of the shortest streets of Tallinn is Raekoja tÀnav, which is located behind the Town Hall.
Wonderful old Town square. During Xmas, there is a nice and lovely Xmas market. There are many restaurants around with different kinds of food. Really beautiful and staying in there is really pleasurable

Great building with quite a bit of history, though not much to see or do around it.

After a walking tour of old town Tallinn, we had time to ourselves. We chose to sit outside at a cafe across from the Tallinn Town Hall. It's an ideal observation point to watch people and the flow of life in this beautiful city. After refreshments, we walked and visited various shops, bookstores, curious, etc. - of which there are plenty. A satisfying day for an all too short visit to Tallinn.

Tallinn has to be seen to be believed. It has to be the most beautiful medieval town we have visited. We are definitely returning soon.

This place is historic, with paintings of how the Estonians in the early years relied on the wisdom theories of the Bible to guide their justice system. It's amazing how this monument of more than a decade old has been preserved to almost it's original state. We were treated to some beautiful traditional vintage music. I liked the instruments and the joyfulness of the performance

Medieval, gothic structure dominates old town. Has soldier shaped weather vane spire. 1944 bomb hit weather vane. Replaced . There are steps up to the tower for a great view.

âčïž Last surviving gothic town hall in Northern Europe. Built in the 13th century. Located next to the town square, which is full of different restaurants. Very touristic place, but full of history. Worth the visit.;)

Center of the old town of Tallinn. You haven't been in Tallinn if you haven't visited Town Hall Square.

I went inside the town hall museum and it was a great way to learn a little bit about Tallinnâs history. The exhibition was quite short but also very inexpensive, so it was worth the ticket price. Note that entrance to the tower is a separate ticket.
