The Brewhouse Theatre and Arts Centre (or The Brewhouse) is the largest theatre and arts centre in Taunton, a town in Somerset, England.
The building opened 28 March 1977, on the banks of the River Tone, and offers a 350-seat auditorium and supporting studio and exhibition spaces. Its first professional production was Alan Ayckbourn’s The Norman Conquests, starring the then unknown David Jason.

Enjoy coming here. Love seeing comedians. So glad it reopened. Sort your local theatres!! It's comfy, not to big so for the right settings you can have a great interactive audience. Plenty of parking. Bar is good (sometimes a bit slow when busy), haven't tried the good though. Disabled facilities ✔

Watched Oliver by the Taunton operatic society, was phenomenal. Lots of lids playing their parts well, the adults performed well as well. It was a well thought out, well executed show. The facilities we good. I grew up in Taunton and I've known the developments of the brewhouae. I think they are on to a good thing and it feels well run. The updates it needs are not urgent. Keep up the good progress

The staff/volunteers are lovely and welcoming. The seats are comfortable. That's the good bits. The seats are very close together and don't have very much leg room., esp when you have difficulty with standing and someone wants to keep getting past you for toilet breaks etc.! The stairs are quite steep and don't have much of a handrail if you need that extra help. I forgot to ask about the loop system but the sound levels were OK with my ha's in.

Great venue for the Furreys! Good atmosphere and happy staff. Easy access for mobility challenged and good acoustics. Car parking a bit tight but that's about the cars and their drivers rather than facility. Great night out - will go again.

Saw live relay of Madame Butterfly from Glynbourne. Music and singing were wonderful but not impressed by production.

Great venue! I have been recently to see a collection of paintings in the gallery and last weekend I visited to see a new Charlize Theron film as they are now showing a lot more cinema too - which is amazing and much cheaper than Odeon! The auditorium is great and the seats are so comfortable!!! Such a nice way to see a film and the staff were lovely too.
