Tebay Services are motorway service stations on the M6 motorway at Orton in the Eden district of Cumbria, England.
Best. Services. Ever. Always make a point of stopping at Tebay if I'm on the M6. Love the farm shop. Some great products. This time we only used the quick service coffee outlet. The coffee was goodish for the UK. But my standards have been raised by living abroad so it's hard to hold this against Tebay. Cafe has been good on previous visits. A much higher standard than any other service station. When you visit Tebay it's easy to forget the motorway.
Our standard first stop when traveling south of the border. It is definitely more pleasant than a lot of other motorway services with a better selection of food. However, we have found on recent visits that the food hasn't been as good and prices are going up. The shop is always worth a visit tough as there is lots of great produce at good prices. There is almost always a deal on steak which is always well received. There is normally one or two gluten free options for cakes to go with coffee as well although the size of the cakes can vary they are always tasty
Wonderful service station! Great set up for dogs to run around (they have their own little area to run about with trees and everything!). The food is excellent and on par with what you'd expect to pay in other service stations but much, much better quality. Lots of Tesla charging points if that's of interest.
Better quality of service station compared to others. Feel that prices are a joke and advantage is taken due to the farm shop look that the place boasts. Lots of flies in the coffee shop area. Purchased a cold drink but will wait for the next service station along to pay more reasonable prices for food. Needs to be more competitive with pricing!
By far the best service station in England. One reason we drive to NI is so we can stop off here and enjoy the food, views and farm shop. The staff are always friendly and very willing to help. We have two kids under 3 and this place is perfect for families. All the amenities you need on your stop off. Only reason I gave 4 stars is the flush and taps were not working in the family room and there was used sanitary towel lying around.
One of the best places to visit for fresh cooked farm food at a service station. Reasonably priced. They also have a farm shop to by fresh produce from albeit a bit more expensive than a supermarket but the quality is much nicer.
About as expensive as you would expect a service station to be. A genuinely pretty place to stop and grab something to eat (which is incredibly rare for a service station!) and I would say that it's worth the considerable mark-up. Much better food than you would expect from your bog standard RoadChef and not much more expensive.
Very convenient services that are, I think, privately owned and run. The facilities are excellent and homely, including, as they do, a farm shop that is well stocked with freshly prepared and home cooked foods. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The cafe/restaurant is the best I have seen, getting away from the large chain franchises that are so common nationally. The services easily accommodate trucks as well, and I can recommend stopping there for a travel break and refreshment without reservation, especially as I didn't spot an awful one-armed bandit amusement arcade! Perhaps someone will correct me if I'm wrong?
An excellent motorway service area much better than the normal. Very good cafe/dining area with excellent views of the surrounding countryside. Good choice of take away food from in house butcher, cheese and pie counter. Selection of gifts stalls. Clean restroom and ample free car parking spaces. Worth a rest stop when travelling south on M6
Best service station I've stopped at on the UK motorway network (alongside it's northbound counterpart). Excellent hot food to go, especially the pies! And the farm shop is filled with great local produce. Well worth a stop if on any journey along the northern stretch of the M6
