One of the best architectural buildings in tehran! Its symbol of tehran , you can go inside and visit all parts of it .
Most well-known statue of Tehran. Belongs to around 60 years ago... the design is combination of Iranian & Islamic architecture. Before the Islamic revolution of Iran it was named Shaah (king) tower.
Azadi Square (Persian: میدان آزادی Meydāne Āzādi), formerly known as Shahyad Square (Persian: میدان شهیاد Meydāne Ŝahyād), is a city square in Tehran, Iran. It is the site for Azadi Tower. Both Azadi Tower and Square were commissioned by Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, to mark the 2,500th year of the foundation of the Imperial State of Iran.
Love this tower. The original (formerly known) name is Shahyad tower. It is one of the landmarks of Tehran, marking the west entrance to the city, and is part of the Azadi Cultural Complex, which also includes a museum underground. I've taken some shots myself which I love so much
Nice but it was closed... Looked like a great "evil building" from the next Incredible movie or some thing. Watch out getting there! The trafic is crazy. Best enter from the West side, there are the most and best pedestrian crossings.
Fascinating tower. It's clearly the landmark monument of Tehran. To reach it you need to cross a very busy roundabout which in Iran means risking your life!
